The ideal candidate should excel in editing local stories, wire copy, and photo cutlines; writing headlines; planning news pages on deadline; and proofing pages. The candidate must also be able to communicate clearly and concisely with page designers at the Lee Enterprises Design Center to ensure efficient, high-quality production of pages. InDesign experience is not required, but you should have an eye for good design. Daily newspaper experience is preferred, but entry-level candidates with college experience will be considered.You must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Pre-employment drug screen, background check, and satisfactory driving history is required.
