Email/Content Marketing Manager

interested in developing content in a wide variety of formats to support our growing sales and marketing needs. We need content development help with email, direct mail marketing, white papers and infographics, training manuals and slide decks, a steady drumbeat of social media content and more.The Email/Content Marketing Manager plays a critical role in executing outbound marketing programs that drive lead generation and overall communication to our agents in the field. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to design and writing of lead-focused email offers, A/B testing, landing page development, social media amplification, campaign reporting. This position reports to the Marketing Director. The successful candidate will not only be well-versed in email marketing & copywriting best practices but will also manage multiple projects across the marketing spectrum simultaneously and with a client-service mindset.Responsibilities

Project manage all email marketing initiatives and related marketing campaigns (print, digital, social) and maintain the email marketing calendar.Develop and deploy email campaigns including creating compelling HTML emails, proofing/testing, sending, and tracking performance.Consistently work to improve deliverability, inboxing, email open, and click rates.Write copy for sales collateral and website pages (e.g. flyers, email templates, web pages, etc).Develop a weekly content schedule of writing, editing and delivering assorted daily/weekly news summaries, market insights and helpful information to our current and prospective Medicare insurance brokers/agents.Write/revise web page content for maximum traffic/impact.Schedule, post, respond, and engage on GarityAdvantage social media sites.Set-up, promote and manage marketing webinars & live events using the firm’s dedicated online solutions.Research industry competitors and stay up-to-date on developments in the senior insurance marketplace.Work with the sales and marketing team to identify Medicare selling content, write titles and brief summaries for various videos.Maintain content production plan and ensure it is properly executed.Excellent interpersonal communication skills.Support departmental projects as assigned.Be creative. Come up with new ideas to attract interest from our target audience.Skills and Competencies

An understanding of insurance distribution and Medicare is a big plus, but not a requirement.Must have direct knowledge and experience in email marketing and overall campaign development.Excellent writing and editing skills are essential to success in this role.Knowledge of marketing mix and best practices to ensure plans drive to objectives.Ability to multi-task and prioritize immediate-term, versus intermediate-term projects.Ability to curate and highlight the most important content to drive lead generation and new agent acquisition.Knowledge of digital and content distribution trends to better increase engagement and curation of content, with an emphasis on exploring new content distribution channels.A quick study on new and changing software.Creative thinker with a relentless attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Interest working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.A great sense of humor and strong appreciation for the value of “teamwork”.Highly energetic, motivated, resourceful, and creative: full of ideas and possibilities.Willingness to pitch in, when necessary at all task levels.Not afraid to ask questions when in need of help.Self-starter who can power through ambiguity and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment.Additional Information

3+ years of marketing, copywriting, creative experience.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.Proficiency with office systems and computers, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Social media experience with LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.Experience with marketing automation tools (e.g. Constant Contact, Hubspot, Marketo, SharpSpring, etc), Google Analytics, website authoring and content management systems (e.g. Wordpress) a plus.Medicare experience/knowledge preferred, but not required.Sending a cover letter expressing why you are a viable candidate for consideration for this position is strongly encouraged.
