The Marketing Director is responsible for the management and administration of the overall marketing program and department at Cahuilla Casino and Mountain Sky Travel Center. He or she will oversee marketing, generating revenue with innovative ideas, knowledge of demographics and systems data to determine relevant marketing techniques, including external advertising, promotions, and Elevate Club Tiers.

Duties And Responsibilities

Conduct market research, preparing and submitting reports to managementProvide assistance and manage the coordination of all advertising, special events and other promotional programs, including Elevate ClubManages relations with external vendors and sourcesMaintains marketing budgetDelivers assignments / projects on time by setting priorities to manage multiple tasks and projectsCreates promotions’ submissions and associated communications materials that provide complete information to employees for use as rules, regulations, and process instructionsCompletes direct mail and promotion proformas in a timely mannerPerforms direct mail extractions as necessary within required timeline to ensure mail is not delayedDevelops policies and procedures for Marketing DepartmentDevelops marketing staff by providing information, education opportunities, and experiential growth opportunitiesEnsures that all contracts and agreements are executed, tracked and filedManages analytics of marketing calendar, promotions and recommends actions based on analytics. Understands response and recognizes opportunitiesDevelops, manages, and coordinates all public and media relations for Cahuilla CasinoCreates and Reviews all advertising campaigns, including radio, television, outdoor and print advertisementsMaintains consistent messaging through all communications for Casino, Elevate Club and RestaurantCoordinates with General Manager when dealing with the media regarding any public relations issuesManages and recruits Marketing personnelEnsures articulation of Cahuilla Casino’s desired image and positionGrows Marketing department with strong knowledge of current and modern marketing trends, including use of social media and beyondAbility to relay details to the casino and guests.Ability to work with media vendors, specify placement, write copy and direct creation of advertising piecesExperience with developing and coordinating casino promotions and entertainment.Knowledge of regulatory submissions, marketing proformas and basic casino floor operations.Light graphics ability a plus.Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.Qualifications

A minimum of 7 years experience in marketing management and 2 years experience in a casino marketing department requiredBA in Marketing or related field strongly preferredMust have knowledge of local and regional specialized groups, organizations and centers in order to increase revenue.Must have knowledge of local media and print organizations in order to meet position requirementsAbility to relay details to the casino and guests.Ability to work with media vendors, specify placement, write copy and direct creation of advertising piecesExperience with developing and coordinating casino promotions and entertainmentKnowledge of regulatory submissions, marketing proformas and basic casino floor operationsGraphics ability a plus.VizExplorer super-user preferredMust have strong guest service, public relations, and interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain a professional appearance and demeanorWilling to train all casino staff on new programs and attend trainingsComputer literate in entire Microsoft SuiteAble to pass Title 31 examMust be able to work in a loud and smoke filled environment.Must hold a valid Driver License.Able to obtain and retain gaming license through the Cahuilla Tribal Gaming Agency.Must be able to complete the 90-day Introductory Period in consecutive days as scheduled.Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Any job offer is conditional upon successful passing of a pre-employment drug test and must qualify for a Cahuilla Gaming License, which includes an extensive background security check.If none of the applicants should meet the stated qualifications, applicants whose education and experience are less than the stated requirements, may be interviewed and hired provided the applicant hired submits a formal written training plan within (30) thirty days which can be completed within a “reasonable time” agreed upon by the supervisor and the applicant. Applicants who are hired and fail to meet the agreed upon formal training program, will be discharged upon failure to complete the specified training as so scheduled.A drug test will be required prior to employment and periodically thereafter.
