Qualifications
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.A regionally applicable Certification (e.g. US Department of Labor) or two-year Associates Degree from an accredited college program in a relevant field of study.This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.Familiar with trailer and suspension systems.Familiar with structural components (forgings, castings, weldments).Experience with layout including dimensional stack-up calculations for component assemblies.Good understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensioning.Well versed with all MS Windows software.This role is Hybrid Remote: 3 days in office, M-F 7 AM - 4 PM (Flexible).Responsibilities
Create solid modeling, layout, and drawings necessary for product design of axle/suspension components and systems, including the use of CAE tools; Creo and Simulate.Check major design and drawings prepared by other drafting personnel with respect to accuracy, technical adequacy, and conformance with accepted procedures.Interface with all aspects of engineering to meet customer requirements with focus on project timing and product design.Work with other designers and engineers to release detailed drawing packages.Establish good working relationships with team members, outside suppliers, customers, and various internal groups.Benefits
