As a

Marketing Manager, Sustaining Products, Optical , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our optics and optical systems products. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with sales, design engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, and ensuring that our product portfolio aligns with market demands and customer needs. Your expertise in optics, optical assemblies, and systems will be critical in achieving our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the growth, sustaining and end-of-life phase of the product lifecycle. Ensure products are optimized for performance, quality, and cost.Customer Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team and customers to gain a deep understanding of product requirements and identify latent needs, translating them into actionable product plans.Cross-Functional Coordination: Interface with design engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to develop high-level product plans, ensuring alignment with company goals and capabilities.KPI Monitoring and Reporting: Implement and maintain a comprehensive system for monitoring and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to product performance and quality. Regularly assess and analyze KPI data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges related to product roadmaps and implementation. Develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure product performance.Technical Expertise: Remain at the forefront of optics, optical assemblies, and systems technology and processes, continuously enhancing your knowledge base to inform product decisions.Data-Driven Decision Making: Employ a data-driven approach to inform decision-making and problem-solving across all aspects of product management.Product Planning: Create comprehensive product plans and customer proposals that articulate the value proposition of our optical products.Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for product roadmap activities. Monitor and control project expenses to ensure they align with financial objectives.What You Bring to the Team:Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electronics, Optics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or other applicable technical fields.6+ years of experience in leading projects and cross-functional teams, including roles such as project management, engineering lead, or supply chain engineering. Will consider a mix of advanced education, research and on-the-job experience.3+ years of experience in operations or a production environment of complex optics or photonics products (ex. manufacturing engineer, operations lead or manager).Development of complex optical assemblies and systems.Effective communication and presentation skills suitable for executive-level discussions. Strong experience preparing dashboards, presentations for customers and management teams.Advanced MS Office Skills:Excel: able to do Vlookups, advanced formulas, pivot tablesPowerPoint: create professional presentation suitable for presentations at the executive levelUp to 10% international travel.We are interested in a qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
