Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest.We’re looking for a Product Designer to join us in expanding our checkout presence and building experiences across our different partners’ platforms. Design serves a vital role at Affirm: from building narratives through data to creating products that help people make important financial decisions. As a designer, you are responsible for crafting experiences that solve problems people struggle with every day, and helping build new partner focused experiences through informed iterative design. You can demonstrate a breadth of design experience leveraging your ability to create delightfully simple experiences that simplify our customers’ checkout experience through Affirm and our closest partners. You partner well with design leadership, design research, and content design. You are able to work closely with Product and Engineering to tailor unique customer experiences for our merchants that are ‘powered by Affirm’, while ensuring cohesion to the core Affirm experience - championing our customers needs no matter where their journey starts.What You'll Do

Design end-to-end flows and product experiences for web/mobile applications that shape our consumer checkout and product ecosystems.Create end-to-end detailed design deliverables including experience maps, storyboards, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.Work through complex and ambiguous situations to clarify and focus design direction.Support through prioritization of short-term to long-term results-oriented work that drives impact.Partner closely with research, content, and product management, to identify opportunities to invest in delightful experiences during all design stages.Leverage design principles and frameworks to guide your decisions.What We Look For

2+ years experience in consumer product/ux design focused roles.Strong, thoughtful approach to the craft of design informed by user needs.Knows how to hold a bar for design craft and shipping to learn.Self-sufficient and uses leadership and peers to seek out feedback early and often.Ability to improve the culture of the team and cross-functional partnerships.Familiar working with and contributing to a design system.A demonstrated portfolio of your work thinking strategically across multiple consumer experiences and shipping successful in-app/web experiences in a fast-paced environment. The majority of our roles are remote and you can work almost anywhere within the country of employment. Affirmers in proximal roles have the flexibility to work remotely, but will occasionally be required to work out of their assigned Affirm office.
