Job Summary:The Graphic Designer will be responsible for generating brand-building tools for use by employees and business development personnel. These brand-building tools include print and promotional materials, advertising and social media materials, video content, and websites.Looking for someone with an outgoing personality who can get along well with different types of people, as you will be working with many different groups outside of marketing. Willing to work within the established brand guidelines to produce high-quality content that meets objectives and drives results.Above all, the candidate needs to have a good eye for design, a strong understanding of design composition and typography, and meticulous attention to detail. Looking for someone that can bring a new perspective, is creative, and handles direction well.Since this is a small team, you will be exposed to different areas of marketing including graphic design, market research, website design, and management. Great place for a self-starter – have an idea and make it happen! May involve some travel to different company locations (Louisiana, Texas) when applicable.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Print, Advertising and Social Media Graphics
Works closely with the Marketing team to create cohesive campaigns across multiple platforms including generating social media post graphics, magazine and web advertisements, infographics, emails, etc.Selects colors, fonts, pictures, layouts, and other design elements to communicate company needs and strategies efficiently.Converts raw and complex ideas into easy-to-understand infographics.Creates and updates templates and promotional print materials and items as needed.Produces internal and external newsletters in the proper format.Assists with presentation materials and event materials.3D graphic generation is a plus, but not required.
Video & Web
Planning, shooting, and editing video content for use on website and social media.Record raw footage and review shooting scripts, edit audio clips.Generate and edit PowerPoint courses for video generation.Design and animate 2-D motion graphics (3D graphics a plus).Create and edit Squarespace sites for GATE Energy and Affiliates to produce websites that communicate our brand and services efficiently and effectively.Works with Marketing Communications Lead to produce marketing content.Create and edit web graphics as needed.

May be called to perform other marketing tasks related to social media posting, advertising, and working with employees on content generation – a team player is a must.Advise on design options and ideas.Update content in previously designed deliverables and ensure that visual continuity is established throughout all deliverables.Order promotional items and printed materials from select vendors.Enthusiastic, reliable, accurate, and able to work independently.Team-oriented, good communicator, able to bring ideas to the table - works closely with the other members of the marketing team and other departments to produce cohesive materials, content, and graphics.Manages timelines and prioritization of workload, and knows when to ask for direction.Schedules tasks independently and works to meet strict deadlines.Can-do attitude with a high sense of urgency.
Experience & Education:Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Graphic Design (experienced designers with degrees in other fields may also apply to be considered) with 5 or more years of experience.Experience with the oil and gas industry is a plus, but not required.Advanced knowledge and experience with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign, Word, and PowerPoint.Knowledge of HTML and video editing is a plus, but not required (learning on the job may be required).Experience with Adobe Premier or Adobe After Effects preferred, but not required.Experience with designing digital content such as infographics, social media graphics, and designing landing pages.Strong design portfolio required – please include with resume.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift 50lbs without assistance.Travel up to 20% possible.Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing the English language - necessary to perform essential functions of this job.GATE Energy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
