Position DescriptionThe Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for selling company products and services to existing and new customers. The primary focus is developing and executing plans and strategies to grow sales to new customers and secondarily to increase sales to existing customers. This company is a custom machine and metal fabrication shop developing and producing custom products for customers; not a catalog order shop. The key responsibility the Sales & Marketing Manager is finding and closing profitable sales with new customers that develop into long-term relationships. In addition, this position is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies using the internet and social media as well as traditional marketing avenues. This is initially an individual contributor role. The expectation is for it to grow into a sales and marketing team as business needs warrant.Position Qualifications

A minimum of five years’ experience (ten years preferred) with outside sales for steel or machinery fabrication or manufacturing companies or in another related industrial context.In-depth knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry and the needs of hydraulic fracking, specifically.Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, machining, layout/cutting, welding, assembly, and other aspects of custom metal fabrication.Excellent reading, verbal and written communication skills.Experience with web-based and social media sales and marketing.Committed to teamwork and team success both internally and with customers.Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and machinery drawings, experience with design/drawing software is desirable.Experience “cold calling” potential customers and effectively communicating with a range of customers from C-Level to shop floor both verbally and in writing; in person and remote.Self-starter with the ability to set and achieve sales goals based on business needs driving to high-level targets with minimal direct supervision and guidance.Demonstrated effective time-management, self-motivation, and self-discipline in prior positions.Strong customer service mindset demonstrated through past experience and positions dealing with customers in a sales and service context.Demonstrated ability to open new accounts, present solutions, close orders, and retain accounts.Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.Availability and ability to work non-standard and extended hours with frequent overnight travel with significant driving in Oklahoma and surrounding states required.Strong work ethic and demonstrated commitment to character, integrity and ethics in all dealings.Experienced and skilled in using personal computer software for email, spreadsheets, and presentations; specifically, Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Successfully pass a background check and drug tests.Duties and Responsibilities

Thoroughly understand company’s business and capabilities to deliver products and services including current products and capabilities to develop new products.Develop, maintain, and execute sales strategies established with the Executive Team.Develop new customers and expand existing customers to meet sales revenue targets established with the Executive Team.Spend significant time in the field calling on potential new customers building rapport and securing sales orders for new products and expansions with existing customers.Work closely with Product Managers to develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers with involvement as appropriate on production needs.Engage and interact with Engineering and production departments as appropriate to support both the sales and production requirements of customers.Develop yearly, monthly, and weekly sales and marketing action plans aligned with the overall sales strategy.Be a passionate champion for the company with all stakeholders, internal and external, by consistently exhibiting a goal-oriented “can do” attitude and positive approach in all dealings.Represent company at trade shows or other industry events in alignment with agreed strategies.Assist with quoting of new products and services to meet customer needs including collecting technical information and drawings used to design and quote products.Present weekly written progress reports to the Executive team showing progress against established plans, goals, and targets.Provide monthly sales forecasts on a rolling twelve month basis to the Executive team.Participate in the management of the company as part of the Senior Leadership Team.As sales volume grows and business needs dictate, recommend additions to the sales and marketing team to support further sales expansion.Provide supervision and management of other sales team members once the team grows.Adhere to and support all policies including Drug Free Workplace.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive team.Other Requirements

Four-year degree, BA/BS preferred, relevant experience may be substituted.Position is based in Ponca City, Oklahoma.Position is full-time exempt salaried with the expectation of a minimum of 45 hours per week.Benefits Provided
