Then jump on your firebolt and join us!Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced Sr. Marketing Manager, Strategy to lead our Book Fairs and Book Clubs brands in the School Reading Events division. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive brand strategies that drive growth and participation, and build brand awareness, among our kids, families, and education communities for both book fairs and book clubs. This role will sit within the larger Marketing Strategy team and work closely with cross-functional teams, collaborate with external partners, and leverage market insights to develop and implement innovative marketing initiatives. The Sr. Marketing Manager will lead the development of the marketing brief through execution, omnichannel deployment, and performance measurement. The ideal candidate is a skilled marketing leader with a proven track record in brand management and strategy, a strategic thought leader and passionate book lover.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and execute comprehensive brand strategies for the Book Fairs and Book Clubs brands in the School Reading Events division, aligning with overall company goals and objectives in partnership with the Director.In partnership with Creative and Operations, actively manage the Book Fairs and Book Clubs brands; ensuring all customer and consumer-facing materials are kept current and to brand standard. Collaborate with the creative team to develop compelling brand assets, including visual identity, messaging, and content, that resonate with target audiences.Deploy Programs and Campaigns supporting Book Fairs and Clubs Marketing priorities across all marketing channels and customer segments.Collaborate with the Customer Insights and Business Analytics teams to analyze and measure the success of program marketing and the performance of marketing programs and campaigns.Monitor and analyze market trends in collaboration with the Insights team to identify opportunities and programs to reach our audiences.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including creative, product, sales, and marketing communications, to ensure brand consistency and maximize growth opportunities.Establish and maintain strong relationships with the strategic partnerships team to recommend brand collaborations and co-marketing opportunities.Actively create program one-sheets and impact reports capturing program performance for reference and socializing among crucial business partners.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree required in Marketing or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.Minimum of 7 years of experience in brand management, marketing or a consumer strategy position, with a focus on strategy development and execution. Experience in the publishing industry or related field is highly desirable.Experience managing and developing direct reports.Proven track record of developing and implementing successful brand strategies that drive growth and increase brand equity.Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and influence stakeholders at all levels.Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes and ROI.Working knowledge of Microsoft-based software: Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint + GSuite.Seasoned marketing manager with a track record of leading strategy and building and implementing marketing programs that have exceeded benchmarks.Experience collaborating with in-house creative agencies.Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, with proven ability to collaborate across functions and at all levels.Continued curiosity about strategic marketing initiatives and best practices.Ability to produce and present clear marketing briefs and status reports in a convincing and unambiguous manner.Proven self-starter with a can-do attitude.Ability to set priorities, handle multiple projects with diverse stakeholders, and meet tight deadlines.Strong desire to enhance the way Scholastic goes to market and drive brand affinity.A willingness to laugh, partner, and have fun!Time Type:
