As part of this contract, the CPS Program Office requires a mid-level Communications and Outreach Specialist in the Bureau for Conflict Prevention and Stabilization (CPS). The Communications and Outreach Specialist will support overall CPS Bureau efforts, including communications and outreach issues related to the implementation of the U.S. Strategy to Prevent Conflict and Promote Stability (SPCPS) and the Global Fragility Act (GFA).

The full-time position is located in the Washington, D.C. area and will be required to be in office at least three (3) days a week, subject to change if requirements shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain an active SECRET clearance, and the start date is immediate.ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee specific information products related to the Global Fragility Act and SPCPS, including but not limited to: internal and externally facing website updates, fact sheets, presentations, and reports to stakeholders as well as briefers, talking points, speeches, requests for information, and media and social media content.Lead and manage the compilation of a full biennial report to Congress on the GFA, and provide support for any other required reporting as needed.Support the GFA partnership strategic implementation plan with conceiving, planning, organizing and preparing materials for meetings, visits, events, conferences, and presentations to donors, bilats, multilat and private sector partnerships.Build and maintain relationships with communications directors and specialists across USAID and the interagency working on GFA countries and regions. Help maintain and manage content for the CPS and other internal and external websites and Google drive for accurate and updated information products, graphics, and multimedia files.Contribute to the CPS and other social media portfolio, including drafting of social media posts and an editorial calendar.Support communications and other clearances and information requests from CPS and other Bureau offices.Support GFA strategic communications efforts, including identifying and coordinating internal and external events, including content, and speaking engagements with stakeholders and partners.Ensure staff and implementing partner compliance with USAID marking and branding guidance and procedures.Assist with the development and maintenance of records and files of communication and outreach content.Serve as a point of contact and resource for CPS and other staff on GFA communications guidance, information requests, and taskers.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications

Must be eligible to receive and maintain a SECRET clearance.Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field.3+ years' experience working in a professional environment.Knowledge of MS Office Suite programs (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) as well as Google Workplace applications.Outstanding problem-solving, decision-making, and good judgment skills required.Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to work independently on projects requiring research and preparation.Experience supporting communication needs in fast-moving environments, including peace, fragility, and/or stabilization contexts.Experience working on communications efforts within the US Government, non-governmental, or implementing partner community.Highly organized individual who has both attention to detail and ability to influence and manage large projects.Excellent interpersonal skills contributing to a demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple offices/divisions, develop effective working relationships, and to support a diverse group of teams and projects in a very fast-paced office.Exceptional written, oral, organizational, facilitation, and presentation skills.Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software, newsletter writing and/or website management.Graphic design and multimedia storytelling experience is a plus.Compensation

Dexis pay range for this role: $84,000 — $105,000 USDApplication Process
