Fox News is looking for a talented and versatile Field Producer to work in the Los Angeles Bureau. The Field Producer will collaborate with reporters and network staff to arrange interviews, gather editorial content, and produce live shots and packages. This role covers a wide array of journalistic responsibilities from breaking news to scheduled events. The ideal candidate is creative, well-organized, and has excellent editorial skills.A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESProduce reporter live shots and packages on location and in the LA BureauDomestic and international travel for breaking news coverage, often at the last minute for extended periodsPitch and develop original story ideasHandle newsgathering logistics like booking travel and assigning field crewsCoordinate all aspects of production including booking, writing, ordering graphics, and producing taped segments and live shotsDemonstrated experience in collaborating effectively with correspondents and photographers in the fieldWHAT YOU WILL NEEDBachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience3+ years of experience as a reporter, writer, producer, or editor at a news organizationExtensive field production experienceStrong writing and interpersonal communicationSignificant experience in an edit room environmentPrior production experience in breaking news and feature reportingAbility to shoot video and operate LiveUWillingness to travel and work long hours, including weekends with short noticeProficiency in Spanish language preferredPursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $84,500.00-110,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
