Motorola Solutions is hiring a Senior Product Designer to help scale our enterprise SaaS platform. The physical security product consists of a cloud-based access control system with a differentiated mobile experience that provides frictionless access to physical workspaces. You will be asked to solve complex problems in both the software and hardware products. You will be responsible for all of the customer touch points to ensure a world-class customer experience for all stakeholders including our reseller partners, professional installers, end users, and integrations partners.You should possess a balanced toolkit of research, interaction design, and prototyping capabilities for both desktop and mobile devices with experience in creating best-in-class Enterprise SaaS products. You are an advocate of user-centered-design principles, with a natural curiosity to understand people, and how they interact with products. You’re a system-thinker and are passionate about furthering our Design System while leveraging it to ensure consistency across the product suite. You are a team player who enjoys working and brainstorming with other designers, programmers, and managers.Duties
Empower a multi-skilled product team to deliver solutions to compete against the market leaders in brand new businesses for Motorola.Focus on user experience and design to create a world-class interface.Develop product requirements and a roadmap that drives the company’s vision while ensuring the customer’s needs and pain-points are a priority.Build out our reporting and analytics capability to provide enterprises insight into their usage behaviors and trends.Organize development efforts by incorporating feedback from Engineering, Sales, Support, and end-users.Lead the go-to-market efforts to ensure that all functions in the company are trained and ready for new products and features.Write specification documents to communicate the features to all stakeholders.Qualifications
At least 5+ years experience in delivering successful work within the scope of "product areas".You know how to work with complex Design Systems.You have experience in building frameworks for products.You can partner closely with engineering to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of your designs.You lead the UX designers to achieve the highest quality user experience given the constraints.You pay almost fanatically close attention to every detail.You have strong presentation skills to explain the intent of your designs to a variety of stakeholders.You have an exceptional portfolio of work that demonstrates your ability to design and maintain high quality, consistent user interface designs.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Extensive experience creating wire-frames, mock-ups and simple prototypes.Experience designing modern SaaS/Enterprise products.Experience with both web and mobile product design.Experience gathering customer feedback using surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.Strong design portfolio that shows your process, reasoning and outcomes.We have a fast-paced culture so being organized and detail-oriented is key.The base salary for this position in California is $120,000 - $150,000.Basic Requirements
3+ years of experience in Product Design.Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.Travel Requirements
