Hello Burlington is the destination marketing initiative of the Lake Champlain Chamber that promotes the region as a great place for leisure travel, meetings, and events. We are actively seeking a Social Media Manager to help us strengthen our social media presence and to strategize and execute on content creation.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
The Social Media Manager will assist in the development of an annual content calendar for our social channels. They hold will hold primary responsibility for photo and video content creation for Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok. The Manager will work closely with the Communications and Content Manager, other internal staff, stakeholder partners, and our vendor network to execute and synchronize marketing efforts across all social channels. The Social Media Manager will also be responsible for interacting with our audience on those platforms.
Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:
– A creative eye and a strong written voice
– Ability to internalize our growing brand and articulate it to our social community.
– Photography, Videography, and/or design skills are a must.
– Experience running Meta ad campaigns is helpful
– Ability to tailor content for specific social media platforms.
– Able to respond quickly, effectively, and respectfully to social media community interaction.
– Experience managing digital photo and video files.
– Knowledge of the greater Burlington area.
– Ability to take initiative, manage competing priorities, and strong attention to detail required.
– Ability to interact professionally with all staff and external partners.
– Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
– General computer literacy required, knowledge of Google Business Suite preferred.
Budgeted Salary:
$50,000 with benefits
