The incumbent will be both creative and well-versed in a wide variety of marketing areas, including content, community, and lifecycle marketing.The Director of Marketing will lead the development, implementation, and execution of specific marketing plans, assuming responsibility for building and implementing marketing programs, monitoring customer needs, and evaluating the effectiveness of various marketing initiatives.This individual must be a “player coach” and be prepared to be a strategic leader and execute on the strategy when needed. Responsibilities include:Build and own the marketing process, including product marketing, strategy development, community building, content marketing, and lifecycle marketing.Own the brand voice, tone, editorial style, and content guidelines across the marketing team.Leverage ETS’s massive body of peer-reviewed academic papers to create digestible pieces of content that help ETS become the defining voice.Lead our blog and other publishing channels, including operational management, editorial calendar, story selection and development, production, publishing, optimization, and results reporting.Manage website copy and content with copywriting and design; email marketing, and product marketing.Minimum Qualifications:Expertise in building engaging online communities and creating content marketing based on data and research.Advanced writing and editing skills, with a high bar for quality.A collaborative approach, working across functions and with partners.Experience repurposing existing content into new content types for use in diverse channels.Understanding of modern CMS and UX; ability to supervise content creation on AEM, WordPress, etc.Experience setting and measuring performance against content and channel metrics.Detailed knowledge of current online tools and marketing trends, including SEO, funnel analytics, community management, etc.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.Bachelor’s Degree is required; a Master’s Degree in Marketing or an MBA is preferred.10+ years of marketing experience at a successful consumer education technology brand.ETS believes in a Total Rewards philosophy for our employees, including:Health, Vision, Dental insurance plans to choose from.Generous continuous learning support, including individual learning grants and tuition reimbursement.Generous PTO and vacation time to balance work and life.Additional 8 hours of PTO for volunteer work.Retirement plan (401(a)) and traditional Roth (403b) with company contribution.Commuter Benefits, Pet Insurance, and a 1-year subscription to Calm App.ETS is mission-driven and action-oriented.Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are at the forefront of ETS employee's daily work.
