Eaglecrest is seeking a Marketing & Media Coordinator to join our team.This position should be enthusiastic, motivated, and ready to represent Eaglecrest in the support of developing and supporting marketing communications regarding Eaglecrest activities and events.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Under general supervision of the Marketing Manager, this position will be responsible for planning, directing, and creating content for Eaglecrest outlets. This includes web updates, social media content creation, advertising through our radio and web partners, newsletters and assisting other departments as necessary. The ideal candidate is ready to promote Eaglecrest in the office and out on the slopes, ready to take pictures or videos daily, and is enthusiastic about working for our ski area.THE BENEFITS OF JOINING OUR TEAM
You will be working in a fun fast-paced environment where we specialize in having fun. You will receive a 30% discount in the cafeteria and receive one free meal per week of full-time work. You will receive 20% discount on items in the Retail Shop. When schedules allow, free equipment rentals, group lessons and ski lift access is an option.Eaglecrest is one of the few community-owned ski areas in North America and is Alaska’s second largest ski area. Juneau is a small community of 30,000 people that is passionate about their outdoor lifestyle especially skiing and snowboarding. Being a smaller community ski area, you will have an opportunity to interface and develop strong relationships with many community members during the winter months.WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION
You will be working out of the Marketing Office in Fish Creek Lodge at Eaglecrest Ski Area. During the winter season you will typically be working Wednesday through Sunday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Overtime will be available during holiday periods. The summer season will offer more flexibility on scheduling.DESCRIPTION OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
This position is responsible for providing guests with honest and promotional Eaglecrest information and content. You will be able to capture the enthusiasm around skiing and riding at Eaglecrest and share it. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting the Marketing Manager create content for socials and web updates, creative writing, conditions reporting and updating, customer service requests, taking pictures or videos out on the mountain almost daily, and planning events. Training will be provided to ensure you become proficient in our user interfaces. You will be assisting multiple departments depending on day-to-day operations and should be flexible and ready to adjust to constant changes on the mountain. Communication through reading, writing, and over the phone are crucial for this position to succeed.Experience:
Two years of Marketing and social media management experience.Two years of experience using Microsoft Office products and demonstrated proficiency in updating website information using various platforms.Excellent communication skills required including writing, proofreading skills and speaking.Substitution:
