Prepares detail and/or general arrangement drawings and sketches of unusual, complex, or original designs requiring the application of practical engineering/construction knowledge. Performs basic calculations using accepted formulas and references per firm standards. Prepares complete sets of construction drawings which will include multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings indicating components of equipment, facilities, or systems where minimal information is provided by rough sketches and/or verbal outlines of requirements. Assigns project related tasks to lower-level design/drafting personnel. Reviews work of lower-level personnel. Provides senior technical guidance, direction, and overview. Supports/leads field assignments as required. Establishes design criteria for all phases of a project requiring the application of basic engineering principles, material properties, and a familiarity with construction, installation, and maintenance procedures. Establishes manpower requirements, man-hour estimates, and completion schedules, as required. Participates in the development of project specific design standards, with guidance and supervision, to ensure quality of services provided to clients. Performs other duties as required.Job Title:

RegularMinimum Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and/or 3D drafting. 12 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.Skills and Abilities:Good communication skills with strict attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to be a flexible team player and have the ability to adapt to changing requirements. Ability to mentor junior staff. Possesses strong software experience including use of Microsoft Office for design related tasks and discipline specific design/analysis used in the CADD environment.Amount of Travel Required:
