JOB REQUIREMENTS: Senior Transportation Designer - Wisconsin Job Locations US-WI-Appleton | US-WI-Middleton ID 2022-1749 Category Transportation 2nd Category Civil Engineering Position Type RegularOverview: Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is looking to expand our services in the state of Wisconsin, and we are recruiting for a Senior Designer to join our transportation service team. Our ideal candidate will have 10 or more years of roadway design experience supporting public sector projects.Duties and Responsibilities
Work as a key member of a roadway design team under the direction of various project engineers/managers.Prepare plans and cost estimates for projects of various size and complexity.Lead the preparation of various roadway design elements using local (state, county or city) and/or AASHTO standards.Prepare detailed construction drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D.Produce high-quality work and perform quality assurance checks.Coordinate with other disciplines and support services.Supervise and mentor less experienced technical support personnel.Ensure compliance with division, regional, and company values, policies, and practices.Required Experience
10+ years experience in roadway design.High school graduate or equivalent.Technical degree or certification in Autodesk Civil3D.Expert in Autodesk Civil3D and Bluebeam.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet project deadlines.Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.About Westwood Professional Services, Inc.: Established in 1972, Westwood Professional Services Inc. has become a leader in many of the markets it serves.
