Position OverviewThe Director of Sustainability Communications will fulfill a communications and content development position dedicated to connecting company-wide initiatives to internal teams, supplying messaging, assets, and relevant tools that are audience-appropriate. The position would work with corporate communications and corporate sustainability on greater sustainability strategy and serve as a conduit between these teams and brand marketing, both residential and commercial. This role will build and expand strategic relationships and provide content that allows Shaw to differentiate in the marketplace and expand our sustainability reputation.Responsibilities:Reinforce and strengthen messaging by working with residential & commercial marketing teams to develop tools and messaging which align with corporate sustainability strategy.Develop CEUs, training modules, presentation decks, position papers, and sustainability assets needed to communicate Shaw’s sustainability strategy.Serve as integral resource for brand marketing teams to connect with corporate sustainability.Lead corporate sustainability’s engagement with the Made Smarter. Live Better residential strategy.Generate monthly Sustainability Market Insights reports to capture competitive activities, sustainability trends, and tactical activities executed by Shaw.Support the development of the annual sustainability report.Design and develop a central content repository of sustainability assets.Proofread, edit, and revise sustainability content generated by various stakeholders.Provide Sustainability Leaders with market insights and market intelligence related to sustainability trends.Advance Shaw’s sustainability strategy goals through white papers and other vehicles to simplify technical topics.Requirements:10+ years experience of communications and/or marketing experience with a concentration in sustainability.3+ years experience working with cross-functional teams.Ability to travel domestically (15%).Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Ability to manage ambiguity effectively.Ability to lead and influence a team of cross-divisional internal leaders.Demonstrate Strategic Influence and Build Trusting Relationships.Shaw Industries is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
