The Social Media Producer is responsible for developing and implementing a plan to generate inbound traffic from external sources and communicate our brand identity on social channels. They must be highly motivated with an ability to focus and re-focus on constantly changing best practices and algorithms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media platforms and trends, video production and graphic design.Responsibilities:
Create and execute social media content strategyManage all social media accounts with understanding of each unique audienceCreate engaging video content for various social media platformsMonitor reader sentiment and identify ways to increase engagementDevelop original social content for both avid and casual followersIdentify emerging social media platforms and opportunitiesExecute on growing local newsletter strategy while tailoring tone to local needsMaintain an appropriate level of knowledge of social media tools and softwareParticipate in team meetings and provide input on new media initiativesMaintain professionalism when communicating with internal and external contactsMeet deadlines and work independently or as part of a teamObserve SEO trends locally, regionally and nationallyBe detail-oriented and have strong organizational skillsPerform other duties as assignedRequirements & Skills:
Minimum two years' experience as a social media producerStrong understanding of social media platforms and trendsExcellent computer skills, including Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Adobe Express and other toolsAbility to moderate tone voice to fit platform and brand needsUnderstanding of effective writing styles for internal and external audiencesAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as neededPositive attitude, detail and audience oriented, good multi-tasking and organizational skillsKnowledge of audience behavior trends and technical ability to affect themRegularly meets measurements of successAbility to monitor and analyze metrics to change strategy as neededKnowledge of AP styleAbout Us: Nexstar Media Group, Inc.
