DescriptionSAIC is seeking an Operational Communications Specialist to support the US Air Force Command and Control Support Services (C2TSC) program at the Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland AFB, NM.DMOC is the premier unit responsible for implementing Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) exercises for the US Air Force, including Joint and Coalition Modeling and Simulation (M&S) training. C2TSC is responsible for designing, building and executing the Large Force LVC Exercises. C2TSC integrates legacy and emerging M&S solutions across the USAF and the DoD. They provide cutting edge tactical to operational simulation and synthetic training as the critical capability to augment live training, act as an enabler for critical decision-making, and enhanced human performance. In the current resource constrained environment, demand for M&S rises with the continuously evolving need for operational readiness and mission preparedness across the USAF, DoD, and with coalition partners. C2TSC focuses on providing innovative M&S services as the key to meeting this demand.The Operational Command and Control Specialist will:Support three Virtual Flags (VF)/ Virtual Flag- Coalition (VFC) and two Bamboo Eagle exercises annually, plus specialized warfighter-focused-events (WFE).Provide operational level Communications expertise, including datalink, voice, and chat systems, to replicate operational Communication in the Modeling and Simulation environment.Advise DMOC team on Comm networks and to link live and synthetic environments.Participate in Virtual Flag/Bamboo Eagle (or other exercises) scenario development and generation to ensure the comm architecture replicates the training theater architecture to achieve desired learning, training, and operational objectives, integrating Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).Produce OPSTASKLNK, Annex-k and other comm mission products as required.Provide technical support to all participants in support of DMOC exercises.QualificationsMinimum of five (5) years of experience as a military analyst with a bachelor’s degree; additional years of experience in the military weapons system (Air Operations Center or Tactical Command and Control) may be considered in lieu of a degree.Understand USAF Comm tools, architectures and employment to ensure they adequately support AFTTP mission threads.Experience with Link-16, JRE, ADSI, C2IMERA, Transverse, J-voice and other live/synthetic communications systems.Clearance Required: Secret with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
