As part of the world's top ranked public university, the School of Social Welfare is producing new knowledge for the common good and training the next generation of social work thought leaders dedicated to serving society's most vulnerable members.Application Review DateThe First Review Date for this job is: June 11, 2024ResponsibilitiesWebsite optimization and management: Produce design and layout for the School of Social Welfare website, update content, work with clients and the team on functionality and design, provide accessibility guidance.Meet and consult with faculty and staff on a variety of digital communications projects; develop, present, and recommend web content and visual material.Accountable for ensuring technical accuracy and understandability of web content.Maintain currency with emerging technical and web-related developments and recommend actions to ensure compliance.Execute digital marketing tactics related to advancement, alumni engagement, and admissions goals.Monitor and report website metrics, make and execute recommendations for improvements.Improve pages and navigation menus on socialwelfare.berkeley.edu for user experience and search engine optimization.Email communications mapping: Develop, automate, and refine email journeys for donors, prospective/admitted students, alumni, and event attendees.Digital advertising: Manage and optimize performance of digital ads, leverage SEO to promote the School of Social Welfare, and analyze marketing effectiveness.Social media monitoring: Work with Communications Specialist and Graphic Designer to optimize social media posts, develop dashboards for monitoring performance, and make recommendations for improvements.Required QualificationsThorough knowledge of design and user experience fundamentals.Understanding of technical language and requirements of the assigned work.Knowledge of content management systems and relevant web applications.Skills to create clear, informative, and functional websites.Understanding of organization's processes and applicable rules for web communications.Technical skills in web production, image handling, and design.Interpersonal communication skills.Skills to develop original ideas and solve problems effectively.Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.Salary & BenefitsThis is a full-time, one-year contract position (extension is possible with continued funding). This position is eligible for full UC benefits. The full campus salary range is $77,600.00 - $140,400.00.
