Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator – 1.0 FTE

Working across all divisions, the Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator:Leads the agency’s media and public relations, advises executive leaders on communication strategies, and assists in making well-informed decisions that translate into effective media and public communications.Serves as the Health Department’s Public Information Officer and spokesperson for emerging and critical public health threats related to disease outbreaks and environmental hazards or any other crisis communication needs.Coordinates planning and organizing public health communications, including all effective channels of communication necessary to inform and engage the general public, special populations, and key stakeholders.A Bachelor's degree (Master’s degree preferred) in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field, along with at least three years of progressively responsible experience in communications, writing, editing, publishing, social and news media relations, marketing, and public affairs in a health and human services organization is required.Interested and qualified applicants should:Visit our website
