Content & Editorial Manager

for Gleneagles. This role goes beyond social media management; it requires a deep understanding of traditional storytelling processes and a creative eye for transforming those stories into compelling written editorials, beautiful photography, and engaging videography. You'll work closely with an internal team delivering brilliant marketing plans and collaborate with an external roster of videographers and photographers to express these plans through engaging content.

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

Developing and executing a storytelling strategy that aligns with our key brand pillars and business objectives.

Crafting engaging narratives that captivate our audience across travel, lifestyle, F&B, golf, and leisure interests.

Transforming stories into high-quality written editorials, beautiful photography, and engaging videography, utilizing your creative eye and strong understanding of the technical skills needed to execute.

Producing written editorial projects such as monthly brand mailers and the half-yearly Gleneagles Newspaper, bringing to life the wonderful happenings at "The Glorious Playground."

Creating and evolving a comprehensive content strategy that targets our audience and aligns with wider business plans.

Managing and delivering a monthly content calendar that reflects our broader marketing strategies; generating standalone social campaign ideas and supporting the amplification of integrated marketing campaigns.

Collaborating with our Head of Brand PR to amplify content from brand partnerships and influencers, building long-term brand advocacy.

Exploring and testing new channels and content formats to engage new audiences and new places where current audiences may be.

Working closely with an internal team of Brand Managers who lead on product offerings and marketing plans; expressing and promoting new product offerings through engaging and compelling content in the form of brand emails, website content, and social media.

Partnering with our Brand Managers for leisure, golf, retail, and F&B to maximize exposure for Gleneagles events and experiences.

Curating and collaborating with an external roster of videographers and photographers to produce high-quality content that aligns with our brand strategy.

Using internal business insight data and external market insights to recommend channel strategies and content, proactively generating creative ideas.

Performing competitor analysis and tracking brand sentiment to inform business insights and strategies.

Monitoring performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, integrating findings into marketing dashboards to optimize plans.

Overseeing community management across all platforms with the support of a digital agency to ensure continuous positive brand engagement.

Managing and owning the content budget, ensuring alignment with marketing plans and commercial insights.

Expertly using social media management software (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, Canva, Later) for scheduling and high-quality content creation.

Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful, and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way.

The kind of person we're looking for:

You have at least five years’ experience agency or client-side in similar content and editorial roles.

An exceptional storyteller, you have a natural flair for writing and crafting compelling narratives that engage and inspire, with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail, transforming stories into high-quality content.

You have a deep understanding of traditional storytelling processes and their application across various media formats; you also have a creative eye for transforming stories into high-quality written editorials, beautiful photography, and engaging videography.

Strong in digital marketing and social media experience, you have demonstrable examples of creating and managing integrated campaigns.

Experienced in planning, managing, and budgeting photoshoots, you're adept at collaborating with external videographers and photographers to produce high-quality content.

Proficient in multi-social posting programs, you have a great general knowledge of SEO and web content ranking.

Your copywriting skills are strong, with a creative flair; you also have a passion for photography and creativity beyond work.

Managing a range of often competing priorities, with exceptional planning and organization are second nature to you.

Experience within lifestyle brands is a big plus, but a genuine interest and understanding of how brands grow is a must.

Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand.

You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner.

A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organized and punctual with an eagle eye for detail.
