The Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy's Marketing & Communications Office is responsible for advancing the School's visibility and reputation with prospective students, alumni, donors, academic and policy communities, and other audiences.We seek a creative, collaborative Marketing and Communications Specialist with strong design and social media skills to help us achieve our mission.You will design and produce creative, strategic Ford School communications material, including print and digital brochures, videos, posters, ad campaigns, web content, social graphics, brand elements, and other collateral. You will also play key production and creative roles in the school's earned and paid social media strategies. You will report to the Director of Marketing & Communications and be part of a strong team of social and design professionals led by the Assistant Director for Digital Strategies.Responsibilities*

Design (50%): Leverage and expand the boundaries of the Ford School's strong brand identity to bring our storytelling to visual life.Social media (50%): Create compelling content for our active social media channels, working with a team of colleagues and student employees.Required Qualifications*

Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.1+ years of professional experience in graphic design.1+ years of experience in social media management.Experience with Adobe CS and other design software and technologies, including After Effects.Experience with Google Ads, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), LinkedIn, Twitter, and tracking performance in Google Analytics.Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage time to meet deadlines.U-M EEO/AA Statement
