Purpose of Position:
Foster and maintain dynamic cultural, civic, and artistic partnerships with local and national organizations and community groups. Drive initiatives that promote community activation, inclusivity, and meaningful conversations. Manage key projects such as site-specific community events, pre and post-show discussions, audience enrichment, lobby displays, and the annual Community Day.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership Building:
Cultivate relationships with new and existing partners, seeking out potential partnerships.
Develop and implement a partnership strategy aligned with the organization's mission.
Creative Program Development:
Develop and produce community engagement programs, events, and initiatives.
Collaborate with Artistic, Marketing, and Sales teams to integrate community perspectives.
Lead outreach efforts to expand and diversify community partnerships.
Event Production and Management:
Oversee planning, execution, and evaluation of community events.
Manage logistics, budgeting, and coordination of resources.
Relationship Management:
Maintain strong relationships with existing partners, serving as the main contact.
Facilitate dialogue and collaboration with community stakeholders.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Implement systems for tracking and analyzing the impact of initiatives.
Provide regular reports to assess partnership success and identify improvements.
Advocacy and Representation:
Advocate for community engagement in the arts within the organization and external forums.
Represent Arena Stage at community events, forums, and meetings.
Qualifications:
BA/BFA/BS in Theater or a related arts field.
3-5 years of experience in Events/Hospitality preferred.
5+ years of experience building and growing relationships with community organizations and businesses.
Skills Required:
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of community engagement/building techniques.
Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects.
