San Jose, CAWe need an architect who can talk about what Uber, Google, FB, Netflix, SnapChat, Airbnb, Twitter, Amazon/Heroku, Evernote, and other tech stalwarts are doing and bring those cutting-edge details into solutions we sell. This architect must be well versed in Machine-learning/AI, understanding of how large-scale data analysis is done using traditional languages as well as specialized software/languages such as R and MatLab. Must be an expert in knowing when to apply more contemporary languages such as Go, Scala, Python, as well as software/languages/frameworks such as Node.js, React, etc.Must have a full-stack understanding:From native apps to front-end technology and trends,Contemporary architectural patterns,Usage of NoSql and other exotic database models.Must be well versed in processes employed by the aforementioned tech stalwarts. That's what PayPal will listen to.
