Contractor; duration 6 months, with the possibility of extension and/or conversion to full time.About Grassroots Carbon:Grassroots Carbon is the leading grasslands restoration and soil carbon storage company based in San Antonio, TX focused on empowering U.S. ranchers to implement regenerative land management practices on grasslands across the U.S. In addition to enhancing soil health and promoting biodiversity, these regenerative practices have tremendous potential to combat climate change by drawing down and removing large quantities of atmospheric carbon dioxide into the soil. By partnering with Grassroots Carbon, ranchers have access to additional revenue opportunities via our carbon credit program. More than 41 percent of U.S. grasslands are used for grazing, accounting for over 350 million acres, but less than 5 percent of that land is managed regeneratively. These lands hold the potential to remove at least 500 million metric tons of carbon dioxide a year. We are on a mission to convert millions of acres of degraded grasslands into healthy, thriving ecosystems that sequester massive amounts of carbon.About the Graphic Designer Role:We are seeking a talented and motivated Graphic Designer with strong technical and conceptual skills to join our team as a Contractor. The ideal candidate will help grow the Grassroots Carbon business and brand by creating compelling and engaging content for digital marketing channels, including social media, website, and email, as well as offline marketing channels, such as events, and more.Responsibilities:Work closely with the Grassroots Carbon Leadership team to drive effective marketing communications that build a consistent brand voice and visual identity for Grassroots Carbon, ultimately growing the business and brand.Stay current with social media and digital marketing trends and flex seamlessly across graphic design for both online and offline formats.Maintain a high level of organization and strong communication to collaborate effectively with the CEO and VP Leadership, as well as teammates across all areas of the business.Design best-in-class graphics, infographics, and other visual content, including motion graphics, to support our marketing and communication strategies.Write engaging and effective copy for social media posts, website content, email campaigns, and event promotions and activations.Help manage and organize digital assets, including images, videos, and design files.Provide support for other marketing and communication tasks as needed.Qualifications:Drive, passion, and relentless optimism with 3+ years of experience and the skills necessary to execute best-in-class design across a wide variety of mediums, including both online and offline channels.Comfortable in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and a curiosity for AI-supported efficiencies in marketing.Strong creative and visual storytelling skills, including copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different platforms and audiences.Strong commitment to the craft, creative problem solver, self-motivated, and proactive.Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong communication.Collaborative team player willing to go the extra mile.Passion for being at the forefront of the regenerative movement.Some basic understanding of soil carbon storage and regenerative land management practices is required, but this can be rapidly obtained on the job if there is a passion and interest in aligning with a fast-growing and purpose-driven organization.Previous startup experience is preferred but not required.
