Salary Range:

This position is responsible for managing website updates, overseeing social media channels, coordinating photography and video projects, executing advertising campaigns, and collaborating closely with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure strategic alignment and campaign effectiveness.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Social Media and Content Management:

Develop and implement content and social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and audience growth. Create compelling content, including production programs and blog posts, schedule posts, monitor analytics, and respond to audience interactions across platforms.Website Content Support:

Make content updates to MN Opera website, ensuring content accuracy and relevance. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to integrate campaigns and optimize user experience.Photography and Video Coordination:

Coordinate photo and video shoots to capture performances, behind-the-scenes content, and promotional materials. Manage media assets and ensure alignment with brand guidelines.Advertising Campaign Execution:

Plan and execute digital advertising campaigns across various platforms with support and guidance from Marketing and Communications Manager and vendors (e.g., Google Ads, social media ads) to promote MN Opera events, initiatives, and educational programs. Monitor campaign performance, optimize targeting, and adjust strategies to maximize ROI.Strategic Collaboration:

Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Director/Manager to develop integrated marketing strategies. Assist in evaluating campaign performance metrics, identifying trends, and recommending adjustments to optimize effectiveness.Partnership Development:

Support the development and execution of partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and media outlets to expand reach and engagement. Coordinate promotional activities and cross-promotional opportunities.As the business evolves, so may this role. These duties may change as Minnesota Opera’s leadership identifies the need at any time.This position is a good fit for someone who:Has proven experience working in digital marketing, social media management, communications, or related roles.Strong understanding of web technologies, content management systems (CMS), and SEO principles.Proficiency in social media platforms, analytics tools, and digital advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics).Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Creative thinker with strong written and verbal communication skills.Has the ability to work some nights and weekends, as required by the Opera’s performance schedule and sales cycles.Experience in photography/videography and basic graphic design skills are a plus.MN Opera is willing to teach:Opera as an artform and associated MN Opera products, including subscriptions, single tickets, related events, and ancillaries.Industry-specific marketing skills and existing procedures for design requests, art delivery, scheduling, promotions, project management processes, and data management.CRM database and procedures.MN Opera Diversity Charter:Minnesota Opera believes that pursuing anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices enhances the beauty and power of the art form itself, and amplifies the tremendous artistry cultivated in our musical storytelling.
