The KSRQ Host/Producer coordinates and conducts live morning radio programming consisting of news, weather, prerecorded features, interviews, and triple-A/Americana music. This position also produces and distributes programming that meets the criteria of KSRQ’s Legacy Amendment Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund grant. The overarching goal of this programming is to build a sense of regional community through public broadcasting.Produce and host programming on Pioneer 90.1Collaborate on Daily Operations of KSRQResearch, produce, host, and promote KSRQ’s arts and cultural programmingMinimum Qualifications2 Year degree in communications or related field and/or 2 years related experienceAbility to maintain a professional radio environment and product while balancing learning requirements of beginning broadcastersKnowledge and experience in programming, production, sales, and managerial aspects of radio broadcastingWorking knowledge of radio engineeringExceptionally strong oral and written communication skillsProficient time and project management skillsHuman relations and interpersonal skillsPreferred QualificationFamiliarity with Americana/Triple-A musicAwareness of issues and happenings in NW Minnesota/NE North DakotaOther RequirementsIn accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.Work Shift (Hours / Days of work)Day Shift; Monday - FridayTelework:
