Acquisition Communication Specialist

to join our operations team supporting a major agency in the U.S. Intelligence Community.The Acquisition Communication Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate dissemination of government-issued communications related to government procurement efforts to stakeholders. This position provides further critical support to industry and government by addressing inquiries and assisting users with our custom application.Duties and Responsibilities:Communication Management:

You will be responsible for tracking the receipt of government-issued communications such as solicitation notifications, news items, and data calls, ensuring their timely and accurate circulation to relevant stakeholders.Document Review and Dissemination:

You will assist with reviewing solicitation documents for accuracy and distribution. You will also be responsible for reviewing documents for format compliance and facilitating the dissemination of documents in support of the government customer’s acquisition process.Media Handling:

You will assist with the creation and duplication of CDs and other forms of media for government customers and ensure proper distribution to the relevant industry partners.User Account Creation:

You will verify user details and interact with the Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) to validate accurate information about company and government affiliations. You will also create user accounts for websites and reading rooms.Event Coordination:

As part of the operations team, you will support the seamless coordination and execution of onsite conferences and events.Security Assistance:

You will support the CSSO by completing personnel and facility security-related tasks ensuring compliance with security protocols.Metrics Collection:

You will collect and present metrics to document and evaluate operational activity to provide insights for performance improvement.Vendor Support and Education:

You will learn and apply knowledge of general acquisition and agency policies and practices to help support and educate potential vendors in the federal acquisition environment.Certification and Access Management:

You will maintain the required certificates and accelerated access controls necessary to fulfill the position, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.Keys to Success:Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent verbal skills with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government and industry partners. Must also possess strong written communication skills with the ability to write clear and concise reports, memorandum directives, letters, and other business communications to a wide audience.Technical Proficiency:

Proficiency in commonly used office software and a demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to new software programs as required for the role.Organizational Skills:

Strong organizational skills to accurately track, manage, and distribute a high volume of communications and documents. Be able to coordinate onsite events.Attention to Detail:

High attention to detail to ensure compliance with document formats and regulatory standards.Security Awareness:

Possess a basic understanding of security protocols and requirements.Preferred Education and Experience:An Associate Degree in a field such as Communications, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Information Technology would bring valuable insight to this position. Additional certifications, education, relevant training, and experience will be weighed appropriately when extending an offer.
