Job DescriptionThe Coordinator, Marketing is responsible for providing support to the marketing team, and assists with SCT team activities as needed by acting as a liaison between teams to ensure consistent messaging to internal and external stakeholders. This role must be able to think creatively, handle multiple projects, prioritize well and be efficient with detailed work. This position is critical to the success of the marketing department and other teams within Sonoma County Tourism.Mission:

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:Marketing Support

Supports Content and Social Media Manager with publishing and content updates to the website.Approves SV events, special offers.Audits Visit Widget (app) partners monthly to ensure partner additions/edits/removals are happening as expected.Supports website and content SEO and optimizations with tasks such as geotagging images.Supports content and video creation with deliverables such as monthly Localhoods.Reviews and edits new partner listings before delivery to data specialist for marketing and SEO best practices.Manages general Marketing email inbox.Schedules and drives Marketing team & Committee meetings.Basic photo editing in Adobe Photoshop Elements or Photoshop.Assists Content and Social Media Manager with social media monitoring.Tracks Social Media Posts, Pages, & Articles in Simpleview database.Ships materials as needed for tradeshows, events, etc.Manages Sonoma County Guide/Map Contract Distribution.VP, Global Marketing and Brand Support

Track Marketing Department metrics/KPIs.Additional Duties & Responsibilities

Other duties as assigned.Required Education And/or Experience

Education: Associates Degree from two or four-year college or university in Marketing, Communications or related field. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.Experience: 1-3 years marketing experience.Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel). Must have an aptitude for learning new software programs and the ability to maintain and utilize database programs, such as, a CRM program.Strong organizational skills with an ability to follow complex procedures.Strong interpersonal and networking ability.Should be goal-oriented, reliable in meeting deadlines and well-organized.Excellent written and verbal communication and a high measure of excellence in both forms of communication.Strong understanding of social media platforms.The ability to obtain a high degree of familiarity with Sonoma County’s tourism partner experiences.Adaptability and flexibility.Physical Requirements
