We are searching for a skilled News Producer. As part of our total compensation benefits package, we offer comprehensive medical plans, three weeks’ vacation, 401k, tuition reimbursement, and an Employee Assistance Program to name a few.What You’ll Do:Select content, write and copy edit stories.Assemble stories into a rundown.Book guests and create graphics and visuals for on-air broadcasts and digital platforms.Write news copy clearly, in broadcast style, for on-air and online platforms.Assemble news material logically and present finished stories professionally.Contribute ideas daily for interesting and compelling television and online content.Adapt to a fast-paced environment and react in live situations to cover breaking news.Establish and maintain harmonious relationships with peers and supervisors.Develop contacts outside the building to aid in newsgathering.Work independently to develop newscasts or assigned productions.Understand journalistic standards and broadcast production techniques.Perform other duties as assigned.What You’ll Bring:High school diploma required; 4-year College degree preferred.Experience with fast-paced television productions.Ignite, Inews, AutoCue experience or other newscast automation required.Strong technical understanding of new technology required.Excellent communication and leadership skills required.We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
