We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.Job Summary:Responsible for overseeing all aspects of web communications, ensuring content accuracy, timeliness, accessibility, aesthetic appeal, and web performance and analytics.Required Qualifications:Coordinate web content and presentation among various internal departments to ensure website's status as an outstanding example of a higher education platform for Collin College's branding and student usage.Manage and oversee all content published on the college website. Monitor competitive and peer institutions for best practices and make recommendations for continuous enhancement to digital platforms.Ensure accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of all information.Develop and implement content strategies to enhance user engagement and support college objectives.Coordinate with various departments to ensure content alignment with organizational goals.Identify opportunities and create landing pages for digital marketing campaigns and track and report results.Implement consistent branding and messaging across all digital platforms.As part of the crisis communications team, provide website updates and send emergency alerts.Ensure the college website meets ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessibility standards.Implement and maintain accessibility best practices across all digital content and platforms.Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and rectify accessibility issues.Maintain and enhance the overall visual appeal and usability of the college website through photos, graphics, and other visual elements.Collaborate with designers to create visually appealing and user-friendly webpages.Identify and facilitate template design development and changes to enhance webpage layouts.Ensure templates are responsive, intuitive, and optimized for user experience.Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in web design and template development.Utilize analytics tools to track website performance, user engagement, and conversion rates.Generate reports and insights to inform decision-making and optimize digital strategies.Continuously monitor and improve SEO (Search Engine Optimization) performance.Establish the strategic direction of the college's website initiatives and roadmap in support of the strategic objectives established by the college's Board of Trustees and administrative leadership.Oversee the college's public website and ensure its ease of use by the college's stakeholders including the public, taxpayers, students, administration, elected officials and educational partners.Set a standard for customer responsiveness and proactive updates and changes to enhance the user experience.Stay up to date with stakeholder preferences and proactively suggest new initiatives; build strong client relationships through digital interaction.Manage a team of web content creators and train users as needed.Foster a collaborative, creative, and proactive work environment.Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members.Supplemental FunctionsPerform other duties as assigned.Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and Core Values.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of college priorities and key messagesKnowledge of electronic mediaKnowledge of design layout and electronic publishing techniquesKnowledge of content management systemsKnowledge of media encoding and RSS technologiesKnowledge of web graphic formats and the ability to create GIFsKnowledge of Texas state mandates for higher education websitesManagement and supervisory skills and experienceStrong verbal and written communication skillsDisciplined time management skillsSkill in interpersonal relationsAbility to produce, read, follow, and adjust a budgetAbility to explore new options and programsAbility to establish and maintain strong relationships within the institution and with primary stakeholders including vendorsAbility to motivate staffAbility to develop criteria and evaluate successAbility to develop systems and processes for managing website content updates, assets and timelinesAbility to maintain confidentiality and discretion with critical informationAbility to evaluate new web products and industry trendsAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationshipsPhysical Demands & Working ConditionsLight Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. Little physical effort required.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, or a related field from an accredited institution.At least four (4) years of related experience in digital communications, web content management, or marketing.Two (2) years of supervisory experience.Strong understanding of web design principles, UX/UI best practices, and SEO techniques.Experience with content management systems (CMS).PreferredMaster's degree preferred.ADA compliance experience preferred.Two (2) years of project management experience preferred.This position is Security Sensitive, therefore, candidates will be subject to a criminal background check.The above description is an overview of the job.
