Atlassian’s second flagship product, Confluence, is evolving into a connected knowledge workspace for all teams. We’re looking for a design leader who can enable new kinds of collaborative work. This leader will bring a new look to our end-to-end experience across Confluence, unlocking a seamless experience for our customers. As a Design Manager, you will lead a team of product and content designers, while partnering with cross-functional leaders to deliver in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for the Content Lifecycle team’s experience strategy and vision, as well as the delivery of high-quality design work that delivers on business outcomes.As a Design Manager, you'll:

Manage a team of product and content designers, helping them to do the best work of their livesLead complex, high-impact initiatives that raise the quality bar for new and existing customersPartner with a range of cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Product Management, Research, Marketing, and Data Science) across our Atlassian product portfolioCollaborate closely with our platform teams to deliver innovative, cohesive end-to-end experiencesChampion the design craft and help shape our processes, practices, and cultureBe a part of the growing and thriving Atlassian Design teamThe ideal candidate will bring:

8+ years of product design-related experience, ideally including 2+ years of management experienceA demonstrated passion for high-quality design and customer experiencesHands-on experience improving the work of those around you, as either a manager or design mentorThe ability to drive a user-centered design process that consistently leads to quality outcomesConfidence in presenting work and getting others on board with a chosen design directionA proven track record of effective collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, and other cross-functional teamsStrong communication, systems thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skillsCompensationAt Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. The baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:Zone A: $188,700 - $251,600Zone B: $169,900 - $226,500Zone C: $156,600 - $208,900This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.About Atlassian
