Job SummaryThe Design Manager, Apparel, is responsible for driving overall design vision, conceptualizing, developing, and executing product lines for our corporate clients. Your leadership is critical to the success of the team. You will work in collaboration with Merchandising, Sales and Sourcing for brand direction and business leadership. You will lead a team of Designers and Technical Designers.

Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Apparel Design, Fashion or equivalent combination of education and experience3+ years leading a Design team7+ years of design experience, apparel and accessories preferred, activewear a plusExceptional management and people leadership skills, with a proven ability to effectively lead in a collaborative, team-oriented environmentExcellent communication and organization skillsProficient in technical specs for apparel and accessoriesProficient in Illustrator and Photoshop

Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead the Design of saleable product lines assuring that target cost and margin goals meet requirements set by the business for our corporate clientsDemonstrate knowledge of current market trends and colorCommunicate and present design concepts and create presentation materials that effectively communicate those conceptsDevelop and maintain strategic partnerships with Merchandising and Sourcing partnersLead the Apparel Design team in the development of a collaborative culture that leverages the strength of individuals in the formation of a strong teamProvide career-development planning, coaching, training, and support teams to create and foster a culture of learning, personal development, curiosity, and innovationModel leadership behavior across the organizationCommunicate and manage the opportunities presented to the team and challenges of the department

We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position is $110,000 to $125,000. If you are hired at BDA, your compensation will be determined based on factors that may include geographic location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any offer. The range listed is just one component of BDA’s total compensation and rewards programs, which includes: robust PTO; vacation, a paid volunteer day, holidays and summer Fridays, Benefits; medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, 401k; tuition reimbursement, mental health and financial wellness programs and professional development opportunities including tuition reimbursement. Certain revenue-generating positions may be eligible for incentive compensation.
