VetsEZ is seeking a full-time remote
Web Designer
to join our team in creating and maintaining visually appealing and user-friendly web interfaces for various projects. This role involves designing and optimizing web interfaces for federal government projects, ensuring high usability, accessibility, and visual appeal. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their web design skills and a keen eye for detail.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities:
Design visually appealing and user-friendly web interfaces, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards.
Collaborate with developers to implement and optimize designs for various web applications and platforms.
Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
Ensure web designs are responsive and accessible across various devices and browsers.
Maintain and update existing websites, ensuring they remain current and functional.
Stay up-to-date with the latest web design trends, tools, and technologies.
Provide input on user experience (UX) best practices and contribute to creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all design processes and projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in web design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, Figma, or similar.
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers.
Experience with responsive design and ensuring websites are accessible across various devices and browsers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and user-friendly web designs.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience working on government projects is a plus.
Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) is a plus.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal.
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance if required.
