In this role, you’ll join a growing team of supportive and collaborative Marketing professionals and help create new ideas and concepts that will contribute to the continuing success of the company.Position responsibilities:Creates and produces designs or refreshes a distinct identity for products or services; helps with the implementation of creative execution during the design stages of Distributor Partner projects.Understands the Distributor Partner’s goals and objectives; looks into the subject matter; has an overview of the commercial content; takes responsibility for owning, shaping, developing, and delivering a creative and successful project.Conceptualizes ideas and produces design solutions across a variety of formats, platforms, and environments including logos, visual identities, apps and websites, out-of-home media, social media, magazines, and physical environments.Assures brand consistency, identifies brand building areas, and assists with content management.Contributes to brand strategies developed for Distributor Partner projects, including innovative ideas that express insight and solutions and draw the attention of audiences with word and image expressions.Works with Johnstone Supply Distributor Partners; collaborates with other designers, planners, copywriters, artists, photographers, animators, illustrators, and account and project managers; sees projects through to production.Supports senior members of the design team in making all projects a creative and commercial success.Oversees production, paying excellent attention to detail and to the company’s brand guidelines that maintain our brand aesthetic.Maintains strong relationships with Johnstone Stores and Distributor Partners to collaborate on marketing design series templates for adoption and implementation.Presents designs to the Marketing Manager, customers, and other stakeholders, and makes revisions based on feedback received.Maintains records and reports weekly status on all assigned tasks to the Marketing Manager.Position requirements:Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from a four-year college or university in a related field; at least five years of experience in graphic design; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Expert proficiency in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout design.Skill in visual design (layout, grids, graphic fundamentals, proportion, perspective, composition, hierarchy, typography, color theory, patterns).Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and keep track of details, including driving team members toward a schedule or deadline.Ability to provide and create an impressive portfolio that reflects knowledge and execution of good graphic design.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and effectively develop timelines.Skill in troubleshooting and resolving unexpected issues; ability to objectively accept direction and constructive criticism.Experience working with a variety of print and digital agencies and suppliers.Knowledge of multimedia design and experience building files for both print and digital.Ability to design both print and digital content; ability to adapt to changing design trends, brand requirements, and market conditions.Working knowledge of the HVAC/R industry and the relationship between products and market segments is preferred, but not required for this role.Excellent oral and written communication skills with a focus on attention to detail.Johnstone Supply is strongly interested in hiring a great candidate that exhibits work behaviors and values that are conducive to building and maintaining a strong and effective company culture.
