Position Summary :Manages and performs the development of content for use in online mediums including websites, social media, and other materials relative to the internal and external marketing of the company.

Criteria:Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited digital media, graphic arts, communications or related program with at least three years’ experience in developing content for online/digital purposes. An appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered.

Skills/Abilities:Strong written and verbal communication and human relations skills are required. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite programs and Microsoft Office. Experience in broadcasting, journalism, video production, audio, graphics, animation, web design/development/content management systems, and/or other digital media studies is preferred.

Certifications/Licenses:None.

Physical Demands:The ability to use computer and office equipment effectively. The ability to orally communicate by telephone and person to person. The ability to see and read printed material. Ambulatory.

Work Environment:Mostly indoor office conditions with occasional outdoor work.

Driving:Must have and maintain a valid Tennessee Class “D” license.

Telephone:Must maintain an operating telephone and furnish the number to his/her supervisor.

Essential Functions:Responsible for proactively discovering, gathering, developing, managing, and executing quality content such as videos, photos, written text, and/or animated content for use on company websites, social media, email, and other online mediums.Additionally, creates content for use in online publications, digital media, and other media.Develops digital content for internal and external communications and events.Develops digital content for regulatory marketing requirements of the company.Develops digital content point-of-sale and other sales-related material for the company.Takes ownership of leading updates to the company’s websites including development of new website pages and additions.Plans and maintains websites including content management of graphics, photos, text, and other content/integrations.Maintains the integrity of the company’s image across all forms of media.Utilizes copywriting/scripting skills to create words that accompany the graphics.Utilizes photography and video (slides, b/w, color, digital, 35mm, HD, drone cameras, smartphones) to capture images.Maintains contact with vendors and agencies relative to digital marketing, website, applications, and other communication media.Maintains contact with channel affiliates relative to marketing and creative assets for point of sale, print, video and digital marketing.Establishes content direction for all online mediums with input from Creative and Video teams.Works with Creative and Video teams to create visual components that complement stories, social media posts, or other written materials.Works with IT and other departments for the development of content for JEA web/digital applications.Assists Creative and Video teams in the creation of audio, video, and creative elements for the company.Assists in the coordination, hosting, and production of various shows for EPlusTV 6.Assists other Business Development team members in various activities when needed.Performs other duties as requested.Department: Business DevelopmentThis is a full time position
