The Marketing team comes together twice annually for teambuilding summits in Chicago.The Marketing team at Fidelity Life and eFinancial is seeking a Performance Marketing Specialist to contribute to the profitable growth of eCoverage, the company’s proprietary lead generation platform. In this role, the Performance Marketing Specialist will oversee lead generation and monetization to drive customer acquisition and revenue for Fidelity Life. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Performance Marketing – eCoverage, the Performance Marketing Specialist will partner across the marketing team to use data and analytics, creativity, and technology to scale and optimize new and existing affiliate partners to increase the volume and profitability of lead generation channels.The Performance Marketing Specialist will assist in the execution of a comprehensive lead acquisition strategy, screening potential new partners, analyzing performance, improving website and creative conversions, and helping to maximize lead generation and revenue. Over time, the Performance Marketing Specialist will help drive the ongoing evolution of performance marketing by expanding relationships to new types of lead-gen sources and experimenting with innovative compensation structures, campaign configurations, creatives, offers, and other leading-edge programs to drive growth in innovative ways.What you will contribute:Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly lead volume and performance and take corresponding actions to communicate changes to affiliates and remediate any performance issues in real time as they arise.Support channel administration, including weekly and monthly planning and affiliate mix optimization.Issue monthly insertion orders (IOs), reconcile lead volume against caps, manage billing to agreed upon payout rates, and process invoices; ensure accurate pricing for each vendor in all internal reporting systems.Test and troubleshoot offers and click listing configuration to ensure proper tracking and function.Facilitate the development of creative assets and landing pages to expand and optimize the messaging, assets, and lead forms used across email, display, etc. and the entire lead generation journey; route new creative through brand and legal teams for approval; upload and enable creative assets for vendor offers.Use compliance tools (Optizmo, Lashback, etc.) to track and communicate offenses to vendors, and ensure a high degree of compliance with all programs; investigate and address CAN-SPAM complaints.Monitor long-range affiliate performance, analyze trends and data, identify areas of improvement, and recommend ways to maximize affiliate KPIs as part of a larger direct-response marketing portfolio.Examine competitor offers (Competiscan, etc.) and make recommendations to remain competitive.Develop relationships with affiliates to build new campaigns, exchange performance feedback on existing campaigns, and drive a high standard of performance.Partner with Marketing Analytics team to ensure accurate tracking and to implement expanded performance reporting and dashboards; troubleshoot issues with affiliate-facing reporting.Contribute to ongoing analysis and test ideation to rapidly test and improve funnel performance.Support relationships with click partners and monetization opportunities.Support management of Active Prospect Lead Conduit, including rejection logic for lead sources.Seek out and suggest actions to improve lead gen outcomes (e.g., by zip, age, product type, gender, etc.).Qualifications:What you should bring to the table:3-5 years of experience in performance marketing for a direct-to-consumer, customer acquisition-driven business; experience in online lead generation or within an affiliate marketing agency a plus.Working knowledge of affiliate tracking software, e.g., Everflow, Cake, TUNE, etc.Solid understanding of digital affiliate lead acquisition channels including email, display, and paid social.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to prepare business reviews for management that contain clear and compelling results and recommendations.Strong aptitude in data analysis, using Excel or Tableau to evaluate campaign performance and present results in a clear and logical manner, and glean insights for continuous growth and improvement.Strong project management skills and ability to organize and manage concurrent projects/workstreams.Ability to prioritize highest-impact work and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and results-driven environment.A curious mindset which is constantly asking “why” and “so what” to improve performance and identify new opportunities.We understand that most applicants may not check every box in our list of qualifications. This section is to outline the physical expectations of a job to ensure clear and fair hiring practices as well as to accommodate candidates with potential disabilities.A typical workday is 8am – 5pm Monday-Friday and team members are expected to be working and available via email, Microsoft Teams, and phone during that time. Reasonable availability includes being online, not in ‘away’ status, and able to respond to messages within 30-45 minutes during working hours.Generally, work involves extended periods of time seated in front of a computer, typing on a keyboard and using a mouse. This work also involves frequent participation (e.g.; 2-3 meetings for 30-60 mins each workday) in live, virtual meetings where participants are expected to participate on video with cameras on.Occasional travel will be required, with at least two trips to Chicago for semi-annual Marketing Summits. In addition, 1-2 trips per year for conferences/industry events lasting 2-3 days may also be required.
