The Apple IS&T Media & Entertainment team is responsible for the technology strategy, delivery, and sustainment of IT systems used to enable Apple TV+ Studio and Production operations. The team ensures technology and business strategy remain tightly aligned through cross-functional partnership, knowledge of industry trends, and familiarity with the Apple corporate systems landscape. Members work closely with leadership, business stakeholders, engineers, vendors, information security, and others to deliver a technology ecosystem that meets the demands of a high growth organization.DescriptionWe are looking for a Media & Entertainment Content Engineering Manager to join our team. The role collaborates with studio departments such as VFX, Post-Production & Physical Production and production crew working on Apple Studios Productions to create new technology pipelines and workflows that support content creation. This role will also be responsible for our Digital Content Pipeline & Digital Asset Management (WIP) strategy. We support various production globally from ideation all the way through completion. This is a very fast-paced and highly demanding production environment. If you have a strong commitment to innovation, and a passion for making the production process easier through technology this position is for you.7+ Years experience leading a global team with experience managing managers.7+ Years working specifically with Post-Production & VFX workflows from a technology perspective.5+ Years experience managing multiple large infrastructure projects from inception to delivery.Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience creating a Digital Asset life-cycle strategy and seeing it through to implementation.Knowledge of the network architecture & requirements used on-set and in production & post-production office spaces with expertise in planning repeatable deployments.Specialized expertise in Post-Production & VFX workflows from a technology perspective.Experience supporting and deploying technology used in content creation from development through post-production.Knowledge of the content production lifecycle.Experience deploying and supporting cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.Strong technical troubleshooting skills.Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Effectively coordinates work and communication across disparate groups of individuals.Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.Passion for creating an exemplary customer experience.A positive attitude and solution-oriented approach.Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring team members and managers.Strong TPM, PM, and program management skills.Strong fiscal management.Strong experience creating and managing clear departmental roles, responsibilities, and operational workflows.Strong experience creating and managing departmental/team and vendor SLAs.Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $164,200 and $285,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
