Strategic Communications Specialist - TS/SCI with Polygraph RequiredJob Locations:US-VA-McLeanOverview:LMI is seeking a skilled Strategic Communications Specialist at a customer location in McLean, VA. Successful LMI Strategic Communications Specialist has prior experience in communications for Human Resources at the Agency. Also must demonstrate competency in developing communication plans, developing content for periodicals, collaborating with stakeholders along with cultivating and maintaining those strategic partnerships. Our client is in need of someone with a strong communications background. If you have some previous experience with technology, that would be a major bonus. We are looking for someone who can translate what the engineers and tech experts say, and put it into user-centric language - something that we can all understand. You will help to convey strategic priorities to a range of audiences, as well as execute communication plans for a variety of initiatives.Responsibilities may include:Develop communication plans, identifying the most effective channels and tools to engage audiences and maximize reach.Monitor and summarize communications activities, including digital communications.Support the implementation of feedback mechanisms (quantitative and qualitative) that measure employee engagement and effectiveness of internal communication.Support events such as EBG All Hands.Work products shall be written in clear, plain, simple, concise, accurate language and shall contain correct spelling and grammar.Produce and/or draft all communications and marketing (ex. What's News articles, Manager's Essentials, posters, etc.) for all EBG functional areas and programs.Develop content for and publish periodic newsletters (i.e., FEC's quarterly Family Forum).Collaborate with team to develop content, design and publish products (for example, resource packets, PowerPoint presentations, save the date event cards, etc.)Collect, analyze and track program and communications metrics. Generate comprehensive quarterly and/or annual reports of EBG communications accomplishments, efforts and metrics.Identify gaps and/or issues while proposing solutions as it relates to Agency-wide EBG services.Participate in weekly meetings with EBG leadership to provide updates, status on actions and deliverables with regards to communications and program metrics.Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships across the Agency and at all levels to communicate, market and publish EBG products, programs and services.Qualifications:- Required prior experience in communications for Human Resources at the Agency.- Possess strong written and oral communication skills, displayed by an ability to effectively express ideas and explain concepts in a manner appropriate for the audience to include non-Agency spouses and senior Agency leaders.- Possess communications, and content management skills and experience.- Possess the ability to build positive working relationships and work collaboratively with officers at all levels of the organization.- Be self-starter and demonstrated ability to utilize strong programmatic and organizational skills to prioritize and assess personal workload to ensure deadlines and customer requirements are met.- Possess strong interpersonal and representational skills necessary to influence decision-making, elicit cooperation and support from others and interact professionally and effectively with Agency employees, spouses, partners as well as internal and external stakeholders in a manner that supports collaboration and engagement.- Possess strong customer service skills, exhibited by an ability to consistently respond to customer needs in a manner that provides value and generates customer satisfaction.- Demonstrate strong ability to interpret regulations, policies and business practice and rules (Publication Review, etc).- Possess proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to other programs.This position requires an active security clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
