In this pivotal role, you’ll partner with Mayo Clinic International leadership to craft and execute a dynamic communication plan that resonates globally. Your mission: to amplify our voice on the world stage, engage diverse audiences with innovative and impactful storytelling, and educate patients on the diverse offerings of Mayo Clinic.Key responsibilities include:Develop and implement comprehensive international communications strategies that align with the MCI's goals and objectives for both internal and external audiences.Manage and coordinate all international media relations activities, including press releases, media inquiries, and interviews.Oversee the creation and distribution of engaging content across various platforms, including social media, websites, and newsletters.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communications channels, including marketing and social media.Monitor and analyze media coverage and communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns.Manage third-party vendors and agencies for occasional market-specific public relations activities.Partner with and provide guidance and support to enterprise communication teams to ensure alignment with Bold. Forward. strategies.Partner with MCI leadership to effectively communicate MCI's strategy and accomplishments through a well-developed internal network.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in international communications.The director partners with senior leaders to drive innovation, challenge the status quo, and implement solutions and programs to advance priorities. Responsible for ensuring deliverables are met and outcomes achieved. Establishes and maintains strong relationships with both internal and external partners. Fosters an internal culture of positive teamwork and transparency that drives excellent service, quality, diversity, an engaging work environment, and an overall continuous improvement mindset. Serves as a change agent, championing agile ways of thinking to enable teams and individuals to succeed.QualificationsRequired: Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 7 years of relevant work experience, or master's degree in a related field plus 5 years of relevant work experience.The ideal candidate will possess:Proven experience in international communications, public relations, or a similar role.Strong understanding of global media landscapes and cultural nuances.Proficiency in multiple languages is highly desirable. Spanish, Arabic, and simplified Chinese preferred.Experience with crisis communication and reputation management is a plus.Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with international media, influencers, and key stakeholders.Strong written and oral communication skills.Must be a self-starter with the ability to independently identify opportunities and resolve challenges.Demonstrated professionalism and ethics, with the ability to earn credibility through integrity and transparency.Strong alignment with Mayo's core values.Exemption Status : ExemptSalary : $156,166 - $226,449 / yearBenefits Eligible : YesSchedule : Full Time, M-F, business hours.
