Under the guidance of the Director of Human Resources, the Corporate Communications Specialist will design and implement a region-wide communication strategy, while supporting the development of the employee engagement strategy. This role will lead a range of activities including internal communication campaigns, message development support to internal clients, and communications platform management and training. Other responsibilities will include moderation and governance of all internal messaging and building close partnerships with senior leadership and collaboration with operating company contacts.The Specialist will seek to increase employee engagement and understanding, awareness, inspire multi-directional communication across multiple channels, and support change management initiatives. This role requires excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to interact with multiple stakeholders in a manufacturing and office environment to take projects from conception to completion.Job ResponsibilitiesLead the planning and disbursement of internal communicationsCopywrite and distribute internal communications to support business needsCreate a consistent and authentic tone of voice for internal communications, ensuring that strategic messaging is issued through the appropriate channelsProduce publications such as executive communications, corporate communications, company magazine, regional articles, press releases, etc.Management of recognition and tenure award programsFollow basic content design from templates using Word, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Constant Contact and InDesignAdminister photography and videography needsManage and maintain corporate communications distribution listsManage communications platforms and provide internal supportTrack projects to ensure all commitments are delivered on time and in fullAssist in managing external agencies and contractors to drive projects forward efficiently and within budgetCreate POs for external resourcesWork in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines and prioritiesWill require travel up to 30% travel to plants, quarries, crews and offices within the region and division as neededSkills/KnowledgeBachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism from an accredited college or university strongly preferredThree plus years of experience in marketing or communicationsExperience in content development and copywriting internal communications preferredExcellent written and verbal skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsExpertise in Microsoft Office SuiteProficiency in email communication tools, such as Constant ContactProficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Photoshop and IllustratorKnowledge of SharePoint collaboration platform preferredWhat CRH Offers YouHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsA diverse and inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotionIf you’re up for a rewarding challenge, we invite you to take the first step and apply today!
