Purpose:

An experienced Textile Designer to work full time in office in our New York studio on the design and production development of fabrics, wallcovering for our finished product division and brand, Red Home. Will report to our Senior VP of Business Development.Key responsibilities include:Fabric/wallcovering:

Design development, knowledge of technical construction of weaving and printing, sourcing, coloring, quality assurance.Has a knowledge of suppliers and where to source production.Technical product support for claims and QA to work with Claims Department in resolving any issues.Drawing and Printing skills for document creation to create new designs and patterns are a plus.Qualifications:Must have 2 to 4 years’ experience in woven and printed textiles and wallcovering.Background in soft home goods preferable.Must be a team player who works well with others.College degree in textile design preferable.Proficient with Nedgraphics, CAD and Photoshop preferable.Must be able to commute to New York City Studio.Benefits:Medical, dental, vision, FSA and life insurance benefitsPaid Time Off401k enrollment after 6 monthsRed Home is a new business venture associated with a parent company that has close to 100 years of experience in the textile and wallcovering industry.
