Working in our amazing Product & Design team, and collaborating with one of our talented Product Managers and Engineering Managers, you will be leading the design direction for one of our many agile squads. You will understand our customers’ needs by conducting research, analysing user feedback and leveraging user data to help us identify key opportunities we should explore to help us become the ultimate gifting companion, whilst validating and delivering your team's great ideas with customers as quickly as possible to truly create moments that matter.What you’ll be doing:

Driving a user centric approach to everything we do, embedding UX principles and a data driven approach in your team's workOwning and delivering intuitive, efficient and delightful user experiences across our native apps (and website), working hand in hand with PMs and Engineers on a daily basisSketching, creating user journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes, to improve the usability and accessibility of our product to meet user needsCreating an inspiring vision and strategy with your team to help drive the direction of your squad.Working with our research team to conduct user research to inform your designsValidating your own work with customers through our user testing tools to ensure you’re creating experiences that meet user needsCollaborating with our peers in the data and analytics teams to ensure you’re making data driven decisionsContributing reusable design components to our design systemWorking collaboratively with other designers, product managers, researchers, engineers and stakeholders across teams such as marketing, commercial, brand, and content to help us achieve our business and customer goals togetherYou will be encouraged to work app first, considering native design patterns within your design and how we optimise for the small screen, before translating to webPresenting your design decisions and vision to the wider design team and stakeholders to gain buy-in and inspire others to follow your user centric directionSupporting experimentation plans to help validate your hypothesis and prove the impact of your design at paceYou'll be a great addition to the team if:

You’re comfortable with many elements of the design process, from creating beautiful UI and interaction design, to well thought through UX design and research. We look for well rounded designers who can own the end to end design process within their squad, and love both the craft and strategy.You’re competent in designing simple and slick experiences for iOS and/or Android, and have examples of this in your portfolioYou’re pragmatic, so you can break down complex work into manageable chunksHave experience running experiments to validate your hypothesis and building iterations based on what you learnA strong communicator, able to communicate effectively and persuasively with your peers, leaders, and stakeholders no matter the seniorityHave hands-on experience with UX Research and user testing techniques and evidence of a data driven approach in your workYou have experience in workshop facilitation, can bring people together and align them on problem understanding and solution generation, no matter their background (i.e. marketing and commercial teams)You’re a self starter, able to manage your own time effectively and set high expectations of yourself, planning out work to ensure deadlines are met with minimal supervisionYou’re curious, always wanting to learn and discover new things about our customers, our business, and yourself.Have 3+ years of commercial B2C UX design experience (preferably on apps) and have experience working with commercial stakeholders to achieve business objectivesMore about you:

always curious , demonstrating a growth mindset and are continually looking for ways to learn new things (and teach others!) whether that be up-skilling the team on design tools and process, learning more about our customers needs, or developing yourself as a designer.You’re able to

communicate in a clear and persuasive way , and defend design decisions in front of senior stakeholders, for example presenting your work to Directors and VPs.You are a

great team player with impeccable collaboration skills , able to bring others on the journey, communicating your ideas to seek feedback early and often, whether that be from your design or PM peers, from customers, or senior stakeholders.You’re able to demonstrate a

commercial mindset , using data to prioritise your work to ensure you’re working on the biggest opportunity, and showing how your work helps deliver against our business goals, for example improving conversion rates and usability.You’re comfortable

working in a fast paced environment,

prioritise action, and can adapt to change effectively.You love

testing your ideas and learning quickly , even if that means you fail fast. You see failure as an opportunity to learn rather than a setback, and you always prioritise learning quickly.Bonus:

You’re a visionary designer, often pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and thinking ‘future back’ to help us craft future proof experiencesYou’re comfortable with a wide range of prototyping techniques at various speeds and levels of fidelity, and can use these to bring your ideas to life quicklyYou have experience working with Design SystemsHave a great understanding of technology and are able to think in and out of its constraintsWant to hear more?
