Develops and executes marketing timelines and strategies for association events, programs, and services in concert with appropriate staff (i.e., membership recruitment and retention, Annual Conference, education, sponsorships, endorsed providers). Marketing campaigns should utilize all available channels of communications (website, social media platforms, email, online community, podcast, and event signage and scripts).Prepares, manages, and operates the marketing as well as communications line items within the annual budget, including managing expenses, forecast projections, in-kind services, and maintaining departmental statistics.Manages the TSAE website to ensure accuracy, consistency, and readability. Creates and updates content in coordination with staff. Serves as liaison to third-party website developer and service.Produces and manages TSAE’s monthly newsletter; produces/schedules editorial content and accurately links to the website; researches, writes, edits, and maintains the website.In concert with TSAE staff, responsible for planning, managing, and implementing TSAE’s social media and other online communications networks (Facebook, & LinkedIn). Knowledge of social media management is essential. Keeps up to date on the latest technologies and best practices in social media strategies.Serves as liaison to third-party graphic designer for website, social media, email, and event graphics.Serves as senior-level thought leader, mentor, and bridge builder for TSAE.Serves as primary liaison with third-party providers as it relates to vendors responsible for publications, online community management, job boards, mobile app, and email marketing.Serves as primary liaison with third-party providers as it relates to vendors responsible for printing needs and branded products.Produces associations’ mass communications and marketing material for dissemination through the marketing automation platform.Responsible for the show look and feel of the theme/design of TSAE signature events including assisting with signage, stage design, floor design, etc.Responsible for editing outgoing communications from TSAE. Maintains style guidelines (AP style, as well as other predetermined styles) and ensures that outgoing publications adhere to them. Will make final editing decisions when questions arise. Also, ensures that an outgoing publication is of high quality.Conducts necessary research for assigned projects and makes recommendations as appropriate to the Executive. Develops and carries out special projects independently.Serves as the staff lead on the published reports produced by TSAE which could include, but are not limited to, research projects, Meetings Profiles, Compensation & Benefits Studies, Economic Impact Studies produced by TSAE.In coordination with the Strategic Partnerships Director, ensures that all sponsors' agreements which impact marketing and communications are executed as agreed upon.Serves as point of contact for all media inquiries. Develops and executes a written media relations plan for TSAE, when appropriate. Researches, identifies, and develops relationships with representatives of the media to ensure the association’s activities are strongly promoted, when necessary.Serves as staff editor whose responsibilities include coordination of content (editorial calendar), writing, editing, design/layout, and printing for TSAE’s bi-monthly print magazine, magazine micro-site, and annual directory, in conjunction with the publisher.As assigned by Executive Director, produce quarterly departmental reports and updates for the TSAE Board of Directors. Present departmental reports during board meetings as needed.Produces articles and other written materials (speeches, scripts, templates), as necessary, for association and industry-related publications and meetings. Provides information about TSAE activities and meetings.In conjunction with the Membership & Engagement Director, serves as a community manager for TSAE online member Community: moderates discussions, encourages participation, troubleshoots issues, and reviews analytics.Manages TSAE mobile event app. Populates content, designs layout, troubleshoots issues, and works directly with the vendor on understanding features and functionalities.In concert with staff and A/V vendor, creates images for and coordinates production of keynote sessions at association events. Provides stage direction and slide transition notes, coordinates rehearsals, and ensures smooth flow of sessions.Provides event support on-site at TSAE signature events alongside other staff directors assisting primarily with event execution.Coordinates and schedules event photographer for TSAE signature events. Ensures event photos are distributed to members through various publications channels (website, social media, newsletters, and magazines).Sets priorities for all marketing and communication projects. Responsibilities include receiving all incoming projects, establishing a timeline for completion, project tracking, and file maintenance.Oversees the organization of project files, hard copies, as well as electronic. Ensures that the right files are saved for archival purposes and streamlines the storage of electronic marketing files on the network to prevent the overuse of space.Develops and maintains close contact with representatives of other association-related groups to monitor industry events and trends and to enhance TSAE visibility within the industry.Coordinates all efforts in preparation for the Awards Selection Task Force including collecting nominations, collecting supporting documentation for nominees, and working with award winners in preparation for awards presentation.Assists with maintenance of the association’s database, including membership changes, additions/deletions, and integration with the content management system.Maintains inventory of printed supplies for TSAE office (i.e., letterhead, envelopes, and business cards).As assigned, may attend and perform pre-determined responsibilities at TSAE meetings and events.Position Relationships:

Internal: Works closely with all staff to fulfill position duties.External: Works with the TSAE membership in the identification and development of articles. Works in conjunction with volunteers in the development of the annual editorial calendar. Works with third-party providers of marketing/communications items, association-produced studies/reports as well as with the Board of Directors on Strategic Plan – depending on subject matter.Monitors issues that impact the association industry with the purpose of providing timely information to the TSAE membership. Researches, identifies, and develops relationships with representatives of the various industry media, ensuring that TSAE activities are widely promoted throughout the industry and that the image of the association is enhanced.Develops and maintains close contact with representatives of other association-related groups to monitor industry events and trends and to enhance TSAE visibility within the industry. A Certified Association Executive (CAE) professional designation is preferred but NOT required.Skills: Should have excellent demonstrated project management skills along with writing and editing skills. Should have proven experience in planning and development of communications and publications. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop) and other software; Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint); content management systems; email marketing platforms; association/customer management software; and Canva. Proven experience in media and public; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously; Creative, outside the box thinker.Relevant Experience: Minimum of two (2) years management experience. Some experience in communications planning, budget development, and administration is preferred. Three (3) years minimum of progressively responsible experience in publication management: editorial planning, writing, editing, design, production, article development, etc. Development and coordination of publication advertising programs. Association experience highly desirable. Individual must be able to lift boxes up to forty (40) pounds.Travel: With notice, successful candidate will be available for evening and weekend work on rare occasion and may travel up to 15 percent of the time.Hours:
