First Shift (United States of America)JOB DESCRIPTION:The Floor Plan Designer III position will support our end users with advanced-level layouts and proposals on the Cambro Camshelving line, as well as provide customer support to customers, vendors, and various internal departments on Cambro products through an array of tasks. Identify opportunities, collect data for reporting, and draw conclusions. The function requires advanced technical competence and communicative ability in order to receive, evaluate, and respond to customer requests and inquiries. Will oversee the design team's requests and prioritize based on workload.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSCreates advanced-level floor plans/designs requested by customers and sales representatives related to Cambro’s Camshelving product line; generates proposals of components pertaining to floor plan design.Handles special accounts (Chain Accounts) which involve set specifications and criteria.Corresponds with field sales to verify customer specifications and resolve pending questions.Leads and provides support to the continued development of the CDS program. Troubleshoots and provides recommendations on program improvements and functions.Consults and advises end users on Camshelving product inquiries and usage. Helps resolve questions and concerns about pending product lines.Develops and maintains up-to-date Camshelving Request Log and reports weekly numbers associated with KPIs.Processes product sample orders for internal and external customers as requested for research and development and field testing.Supports the internal Customer Service department with questions on the Camshelving product line as well as phone support on product inquiries.Understands and has knowledge of Cambro product line and manufacturing processes (Roto, Injection, Structural Web, Compression, Composites, Textiles).Responds to customers’ usage inquiries as applicable on all Cambro products.Supports the Manager with Engineering Change Orders process and distribution for visibility and company-wide access.Assists the Manager and Engineering team with logging, assignment, and distribution of Replacement Parts.Organizes, schedules, and hosts team meetings to review and implement: Camshelving Design status, Engineering Change Orders, and New Product projects.Maintains data in spreadsheets and reports; keeping records and reports up to date.Creates procedure manuals and/or processes.Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual and dependable.Executes each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform job successfully.Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.Follows all department quality standards/criteria. Raises concerns and issues to immediate manager.Understands and demonstrates Cambro company culture; displays company core values (Safety, Quality, Respect, and Service).Understands department’s key performance indicators and contributes to achieve these goals both individually and as a team.Other duties as assigned or required.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESMaintains office equipment-supplies and scheduling of repairs or maintenance.Supports Management and Engineering with scheduling department/project meetings as requested.Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. One to two years of customer service-related experience and/or manufacturing-related experience and/or training or equivalent combination and experience as applicable. Experience with leading/supervising small team.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD or design software equivalent.Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, intermediate-level technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to professionally respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.Ability to interpret and convert blueprint scale. Ability to read and translate floorplans. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Requires analytical skills.Reasoning ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbols (formulas, scientific, equations, graphs) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of Cambro products, i.e. how they are used, application, etc.Knowledge and experience of AS400.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
