The Town of Luray is accepting applications for:Event & Marketing CoordinatorSalary: Up to $35,000This full-time, non-supervisory position assists with planning, promotion, coordination, and execution of events for the Town of Luray. Work is performed under the general guidance of the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Crew Leader. Duties and responsibilities include:Assist with coordination and planning of special events, including event scheduling, vendor registration and invoicing, event logistics, creation and distribution of flyers and marketing materials, event sponsorship, promotion and event execution.Conducts and represents the Town at special events; attendance day of event is critical.Assists with the preparation of event budgets, invoicing, and purchasing.Assists with the development and placement of event marketing materials and signage.Responds to public inquiries related to events and event registration.Assists with park maintenance to include mowing, weeding, and custodial services as needed.Subject to after-hour and weekend events and emergency situations.Candidates should be reliable, punctual, and professional, must be a minimum of 18 years of age, possess a valid Virginia driver’s license, wear Town provided uniforms and PPE, and pass a background check. These positions require nights, weekends, and holidays. The position requires outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions. Candidates should enjoy working with and speaking to the public, and should have strong computer skills and knowledge of online and electronic marketing platforms (Facebook, Canva, Microsoft Office, etc.).Applications are available at the Town Office at 45 East Main Street in Luray, Virginia, or may be obtained online at
