Position OverviewThe Retail Communication and Strategy Lead is a key business role responsible for crafting and executing a comprehensive communication strategy as well as supporting in the communication and cascade of the retail strategy. This individual will spearhead the development of innovative communication initiatives to enhance brand visibility, drive customer engagement, and foster a cohesive message across all retail channels, both PRO and RLS alike. The Lead works with executive leaders, fostering cross-organizational partnerships, and maintaining a strong connection with the retail employee population. This role demands a balance of strategic communication planning and practical retail operations knowledge to drive meaningful improvements and results across the store network. The role demands a blend of analytical ability, organization, and creative thinking, coupled with exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Reporting into this role will be Communication Managers and Associates.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLeads the development and execution of internal communications strategies to foster staff engagement, support information sharing, and promote professional growth.Oversee a dedicated team of communication professionals, establishing clear goals and ensuring the successful delivery of communication initiatives.Crafts targeted messaging campaigns to effectively communicate latest programs, organizational changes, and staff engagement at all levels.Regularly assess and refine communication plans to enhance their impact and effectiveness.Coordinate retail engagement activities, including synthesizing and presenting information to field teams and supporting retail initiatives.Guide daily communication operations, collaborate with retail leadership for efficient procedure execution, and drive results through strategic partnerships.Manage crisis communication efforts to protect and uphold the brand's reputation during challenging situations.Lead change management processes, ensuring clear communication of policies, procedures, and organizational changes.Identify and implement strategies to reduce managerial workload, enhance operational efficiency, and cut costs.Manage multiple projects, manage resources, set deadlines, monitor progress, and adjust plans to ensure timely completion despite unforeseen challenges.Provide top-tier customer service, maintaining effective communication across various organizational levels.Assist in the implementation of projects and KPI initiatives, including documentation and follow-up.Organize and execute event coordination, from planning to completion, including vendor management and cross-functional collaboration.Lead rapid response efforts during crisis events, such as natural disasters and instore emergencies.Ensure retail communications are in sync with broader marketing efforts and translate marketing objectives into actionable store-level initiatives.Manage cross-functional project plans, budgets, and priorities to enhance operational and communication efficiencies.Work closely with communication leaders and executives to develop impactful messages and serve as a trusted advisor on communication matters.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and draft executive communication materials, including speeches and internal media content.Contribute to the creation of high-quality content for internal retail communication channels.

Experience, Skills & KnowledgeStrong leadership skills.Highly motivated and organized.Proven ability to drive results, sales, and exceptional service.Working knowledge of operations, reporting, budgeting etc.Capability in learning and becoming an expert in modern technologies.Exceptional communicator with experience in training, developing, and influencing others.Ability to develop effective relationships, provide leadership and motivate individuals towards profitability objectives.Strategically aligned the operational and sales goals.Strong project management and business acumen skills.Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Must be able to work mornings, weekends, evenings, and special events as needed.Ability/flexibility to travel.Ability to lift up to 30lbs.
