This function implements the business strategy by developing and commercializing products and services and managing them throughout their full life cycles.Product or Services Marketing is responsible for defining the product/service and market strategy and life cycle management including customer need identification, market research, product or service offering, pricing, positioning, promotion, branding and distribution to drive customer loyalty, sales growth and improved profitability.Job SummaryThe Global Portfolio Manager will support the development and execution of critical projects and commercialization strategies across several business units. We are seeking a team member who is motivated to learn, able to adapt to new ways of thinking, believes in customer- and patient-centric marketing, and capable of delivering on business commitments in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.ResponsibilitiesUtilize market trends, customer and clinical needs, and competitive positioning to develop recommendations on product line rationalization, harmonization, and retirementSupport assessment of manufacturers and suppliers to optimize product sourcing mix and portfolio profitabilityExecute primary and secondary research to drive portfolio/product decisions and identify market opportunities for preferred product offerings in targeted segments and channelsSupport development of the global product strategy, in collaboration with regional, channel, and global marketing leadersSupport upstream marketing activities, including new product development, portfolio planning, product management, branding, and commercialization across all global regionsWork closely with global, regional, and cross-functional partners to drive strategic portfolio plans, global manufacturing and supply chain alignment, global commercial enablement, and franchise brand managementUnderstand and manage product supply, quality, labeling, and specifications for existing productsEnsure that promotional, launch, and marketing activities align with overall portfolio strategyUtilize strong financial acumen and analytical skills, sound thought processes as they relate to assessing financial implications/outlook and developing business cases, as well as logical decision-making in the general business environmentQualifications4+ years of experience, preferredBachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferredHealthcare or medical product management experience, preferredExperience with Oracle Agile and SAP, preferredFinancial acumen with an ability to analyze and interpret dataSkilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organizationAbility to travel up to 10%What is expected of you and others at this levelApplies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projectsMay contribute to the development of policies and proceduresWorks on complex projects of large scopeDevelops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problemsSolutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectivesCompletes work; independently receives general guidance on new projectsWork reviewed for purpose of meeting objectivesMay act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues
